Im using a copy of windows xp pro sp2 and norton internet security 2K6.

    both are updated and pirated.

the best thing about that is the norton internet security is registered for 846 days updates can be downloaded.

for the windows xp, i have never encountered any issues with downloading all the updates and it's validated as a real copy in the microsoft site.

ika nga nila sa pirated... swerti-swerti lang...

some pirated software have lame ways of cracking software... kaya mas maganda demo muna bago bili... or pwedeng isauli pag confusing ang installation method...

    ^paano kaya nagagawa to??

My brother bought a computer in 2003 but it is seldom used now. So I decided to bring its CPU here in MM (he is now working abroad). I bought a USB 2.0 card and installed it. Problem is, the OS (XP Pro) is not licensed. I downloaded a SP1 (only) to update it but unsuccessful. Im not a computer geek so I dont know how to 'crack' it.

Neither I want to buy a licensed copy of windows softawre for it so I just keep it as is. Anyway, pang-home use lang naman.

    resurrected thread?

anyway, IMO it's still better to buy pre-installed genuine OEM Windows O/S to avoid all the hassles & worries. around 1000petot lang naman difference (XP Home version) with a pre-installed Linux.

    Windows 7 system requirements
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

    1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Additional requirements to use certain features:

    Internet access (fees may apply)

Depending on resolution, video playback may require additional memory and advanced graphics hardware

Some games and programs might require a graphics card compatible with DirectX 10 or higher for optimal performance

For some Windows Media Center functionality a TV tuner and additional hardware may be required

Windows Touch and Tablet PCs require specific hardware

HomeGroup requires a network and PCs running Windows 7

DVD/CD authoring requires a compatible optical drive

BitLocker requires Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2

BitLocker To Go requires a USB flash drive

Windows XP Mode requires an additional 1 GB of RAM, an additional 15 GB of available hard disk space, and a processor capable of hardware virtualization with Intel VT or AMD-V turned on

Music and sound require audio output

Product functionality and graphics may vary based on your system configuration. Some features may require advanced or additional hardware.

I have no problems with my fake Win XP. Been using it for a long time. Although in every start-up there's a notification that would tell to take the " test " to see if my Win XP is really genuine. But me knowing that it's not, I just press cancel over and over again. It doesn't take up my time and so does my money ( which the orig Win XP consumes - although, i`ll face it ... genuine Win XP's will always be better )

hirap na nga maghanap, halos wala na daw binebenta ngayon. I got one at Gilmore. Hindi masyado branded (DTECH) but it has a VIA VT6212 chipset.

Funny thing is- meron ng new stock ang Octagon sa Megamall. Kagabi ko lang nakita. Last week lang sabi nila hindi na sila nagbebenta ng ganun dahil luma na daw...
