However, for the extra cost, you can already buy the entry level Seiko Prospex models. With some dealers, you can get them for less than 20k.

Also, there are already a bunch of very good homages being sold in Lazada and Ali Express. These homages are already powered by Seiko NH35 movements, with Sapphire crystals, and Ceramic bezel inserts. San Martin, Steeldive, Heimdallr, and Proxima are the more popular brands from China. Some such homages even come with a Swiss SW200 movement for a price much less than an entry-level Swiss watch.

    the orange face looks good.

    some solexes,
    even if they are fakes,
"they still manage to wear well."

    years ago,
someone made me pasalubong a faux submariner.
surprise of surprises, it wore comfortably enough on the wrist, better than ... seiko. and ran decently enough.
    heh heh.

good-looking fakes are available in the open market.
    cheap lang.
    "they also tell time."

    even now,
    perusing carousell,
there are two of them side-by-side.
one selling for 16 M, the other for 2 K.
    heh heh.

    same with rolex.
    ka-takot bumili ng rolex ngayon...

The Citizen SkyHawk looks cool with its features and a solar-powered movement. A new one though is pricey for around 20k or more. For around the same price, you can get a nice Seiko Sumo or a decent Swiss watch like Steinhart.

For a lot less, check out the Citizen Nighthawk. It looks better in my opinion.

If you want something complicated with an automatic chronograph movement at a reasonable price, I suggest a Hamilton X-Wind. I want one too so I am selling my Hamilton X-Copter which also looks complicated. Send me a message if you’re interested.

thanks for the tips and the reco.

right now though , i'm really crushing on the navihawk or the skyhawk. i'm just asking and looking around pa naman lang din. and yes, it was the gen 1 night hawk i was scouting for previously before i laid my eyes on those more expensive siblings of his. grabe kapogi pala mas lalo na iyong mga jdm release. <3

    meron ring greenhills edition niyan.
    heh heh.

a number of our lawmakers do wear hard-to-spell-and-pronounce brands...

    i remember that military man,
many thought that the watch he was wearing during the hearings was a royal oink or something,
until someone showed a picture of a similar-looking casio...

    Fake news.

    Thats a cheap Invicta watch.

Actually, one need not zoom in to see na ang layo.

Parang before here in tsikot din yun sa general, AP daw pero mukhang Gshock talaga. And the sad part ayaw aminin na mali.

i remember that guy. yung droga kaso. hindi heneral. el capitan or major yata..
in truth, the images were fuzzy enough as to create a market for doubt.
eventually, however, many finally agreed na "casio lang pala".
i wonder, na-ubos kaya ang stocks ng casio model na iyon as a result?
    heh heh.

    "casio lang pala?"
for rugged use nah, and guwapo pah, nothing beats stainless g-shock.
    my nephew, a seaman,
"unc, nakaka-tatlong siko 5 per year kami dati. but since we shifted to g-shock, ilang taon na 'tong suot kong ito."

but there was this general who was supposed to go to russia on an official trip, and along the way, acquire several uber-end swiss watches whose names i am not qualified to spell nor pronounce.

Well, the watch should fit the wearer. In this case, it is an ostentatious display of wealth. Unfortunately, he couldn’t pull it off.
