that's why i skip the ultraviolet stage in my filter system

used to have a water station before when i was single kaya conscious ako sa lasa ng water. 21stages so masarap and up to par na yung unilever sa kanya.. better ung sa unilever bcause after nung 2days na new filter na tapon muna, consistent na yung taste unlike sa pag deliver ng water station sa iba, minsan may aftertaste..in the long rrun bawi naman vs buying from outside, filter na lang expense mo evry 6months.

There are two local version of pureit here in phil, manual and the electrical which has UV. What i have is manual which requires pouring water to this container with filters. The manual is not reliable as some parts like the chlorine remover stops working and also prone to leaking... but the convenience is there...i never have to order for waterstation water...

My lola stopped buying water na. She boils tap water instead (which was what people used to do before water stations became popular)

I wont do that, tell your lola bout the 1micron -20micron rust particles from our pipes..lalo na pag rain season..pag baha sa MM, sewage/dirty water goes in damaged pipes and mixes with the water from maynilad

After 2 years replaced my Pureit with a Megafresh 4 stage which has a 1 micron sediment, Pentair GAC, Pentair .5 micron Carbon block and UV light. Maynilad yung water namin pero after a month sobrang nagiging brown yung 1 micron sediment filter dahil sa rust sa pipes.

no amount of micron filtration, can filter out molecular toxins from the water.
some bacteria are bigger than 1 micron, others are smaller than 1 micron.
but some of these toxins and bacteria, can be destroyed by boiling.

there is still logic in boiling water of questionable quality, before ingesting.

I just have my drinking water delivered. Saves me the hassle.

But, I do have a 2 stage filter (5 microns then 3 microns) to wash my car and for my dog's drinking water.

i think those are particulate or bacterial filters yata.
i do not think they will do anything to diminish your water hardness.
