Fancy water purifiers do work but are overpriced by the salesmen for their sales commission.

Yes, that was what I though too. I had estimated that it would take me at least 3 years to recoup my investment so I did not think it was worth it. Besides, just boiling water for at least 5 minutes is more than enough to meet our drinking water needs.

Also, you can assemble your own two, three or four stage water purifier system from the commercial stores that sell the parts individually or as a set. Example is the store in MC Home Depo at Ortigas Center.

It's relatively easy. Depending on how contaminated the source water, you can have one to four stage water purifier system. Relatively clean water can do with a single or two stage system.



For a two or three stage filter system, it is just that each filter is finer as you go to the next stage. Reason is, if your water is dirty, a single stage filter system will get clogged up too fast. A multi-stage filter system will last longer since bigger particles will be trapped by coarse filter and the finer particle trapper later in the finer filter stages.

UV light system is added to kill the bacteria.

Sa bahay kasi meron kami watercare. Eh sa office balak ko lagyan para hindi na ako nagbabaon tubig. Ayoko na din watercare dahil parang may gamot na halo.
