Too many choices. I think I can have this delivered and I'll be the one to assemble it since it's just small. My only problem is if I will be able to replace the water if it's top load. Though I really prefer top load since there's no hose (?) unlike bottom load.

Also, why are table top dispensers so cheap?

We have an Imarflex bottom load and it's way more convenient and easier on the eyes than a top load.

Most tabletop dispensers only have a fan with cooling fins. That's why they only dispense "cool" water not "cold".

at home, we GE. expensive, also because we have the model with built-in ref underneath.
our workplace has the much cheaper watchamacallit brands. no ref, because we have a regular ref in the chikka room.

some folks i know, do not use the five-gallon jugs. that's 20 kg or 44 pounds! instead, they use the much smaller two-gallon plastic carriers from the supermarket. but that is also because isa o dalawa lang silang umi-inom...

most tabletop dispensers have hot water and near-room-temp water only. no cooler.
hot water requires only a cheap heating coil.
good refs require space to put their electric motor/compressor and heat-exchange fins. expensive. they do not easily fit into the table models.

5 gallon namin sa bahay less than 3 days lang. I keep a 2 gallon for backup. 3 houses away lang naman refilling station.

The built in ref minimizes usage of the fridge.

if the budget permits try to invest in a good 2 to 6 stage water filter, megafresh sells some sa Ace. Ive seen how some water refilling stations handle the refillable jugs medyo defeats the purpose of the whole cleaner drinking water thing.

if TS wants just room-temp water and not really cool water,
she can just buy one of those jug pumps that are attached to the upright jug. press to dispense.
i can't seem to find an online seller, but our office entrepreneur aka divisoria nerd, was making me alok before covid, for less than 300 bucks yata....

There's really nothing special about these units and both the heater core and compressor should last 10 years or more. Probably the first thing to give are the plastic faucets. In buying one, just be sure that it has local support (which they normally do). In other words, buy local that has an authorized service center so that parts availability won't be a problem.

I bought a Camel brand. It's a floor-standing model, Hot and Cold. The lower half is a dry cabinet where we store our instant ramen. It's 5 years old and had never needed any service.

This was the first big ticket item I bought from Lazada. It cost about 6k way back 2015.

    Looks like this:

    ...which I later hacked in 2018..... :D

I was sold on the button na but then I realized I can't refill my pitcher of water because it wont fit

BTW, I saw this on Lazada. Super cheap. Is it worth considering? Nice Aesthetic too. Matches the color of our ref pero might be sirain?

    feeling ko,
the innards of these various hot and cold water dispensers are probably pare-pareho, i.e., same manufacturers.
the external designs and the dispensing taps, are what make them different from one another, including price.
also, it is a given that branding affects the sticker price significantly. the more famous brand is priced higher.

one advantage of buying online, is the hassle-free delivery to the haus.

Weird implementation. The water faucets use knobs. It's not your typical push-button or lever type.

Anyway, it's a mature technology. As long as they have a service center and that they honor their warranty (5 years?), you'll be fine.

    well,
over the decades, the pihit-gripo design is a proven design.
that is, if it were manufactured well.
i am not sure if plastic gripos are long-lasting.
sa traditional brass gripo kasi, periodic sapatilya replacement lang ang kelangan. cheap.
in this picture above, it's a 90 degree turn only, lending me to suspect, the tap mechanism is the newer-design ceramic type.

    but yes,
    effective warranty is king.

Has anyone considered na puro elderly seniors kasama ata ni Cathy sa bahay? May possible burn/scald risk sa push button type if hindi na-align yung bottle, cup, mug or what have you sa stream ng hot water.

Yes, mas hygenic nga yung push button type of course, but hindi naman ito public setting as much as an office na water dispenser ng bayan. Mas ma-tutukan naman linisin yan if for household use lang naman and kayo-kayo lang naman gumagamit.

    Just saying...

Wow. I didn't notice this at all! Tixx is super cheap kasi but not much reviews and don't know about the warranty. Unlike Fujidenzo na I read reviews na mabilis naman pumunta. Though I searched YouTube and there are several repair videos on the Fujidenzo water dispeners [emoji24]

Yes. Even my fat lab is senior [emoji23]

That was my initial concern na kailangan aligned. Even me, I have to silip to make sure the mug is aligned when using the button dlspenser. Pero sa button naman no force needed like pushing the lever.

So hard to decide. Whenever I make a purchase kasi, I hate when my choice isn't good, worse e palpak hehe.

OT lang pero ang Panasonic consistent na best purchase, if only they had a water dispenser

Apples and oranges, IMHO. I doubt the faucets on that dispenser actually operates or resembles an actual residential faucet. More likely, the knob has a screw and/or cam mechanism that pushes a lever or plunger on the actual faucet when you turn it. In other words, the knob is not part of the faucet. It is essentially added as a decorative piece and I bet, if you remove all the front panels, you'll see a typical water dispenser faucet.

I just found it weird, in that, I've never seen such design.

Caught my eye too, but a quick rundown of the reviews tell a consistent "hindi sya gaanong malamig", and most of them console themselves with a "but pwede na rin". Hirap nyan kung summer, I don't know it it will be cold enough to quench the thirst. Mahinang klaseng compressor/cooling system?!

I'll remove Tixx na sa list ko, so it's really Fujidenzo vs Condura sa button

Ang lamang lang ng Fujidenzo na lever nasa Top 3 siya na water dispenser with lots of reviews. Yung Fujidenzo na button, wala masyado reviews, mas lalo na yung Condura.

Currently using Electrolux bottom loading water dispenser

Has Hot, Warm and Cold buttons.

Nag conk out na yung Cold button and nothing comes out. This button died after 1 year.

    Yung Warm naman nagiging Cold.

So I am down to Hot and Cold only.

I just mix Hot and Cold to get Warm water now

We actually don't use the hot water function of our dispenser. For hot drinks, we just pop a mug of water in the microwave for 2 minutes. In rare cases we need more, we use the wireless kettle.
