What Anti-Virus software are you using?

I tried Norton, McAfee, and AVG pero natatalo pa rin ng virus. Currently, I'm using free [SIZE=3]AVIRA[/SIZE] AntiVir and I have no problem using it . . . for now.

The Symantec Corporate versions are usually better than their Norton counterparts. But, they're more expensive too. I have several licenses from work that allows me to install them at my computers at home.

I'm currently using MS Security Essentials although I still have the Symantec licenses. I keep the latter just in case my company says to keep using Symantec instead. Symantec/Norton are hogs compared to most other antivirus software.

Yes! AVIRA (free from **************) din sa akin, starting last 2006 pa and still okay naman until now. AVIRA for life hehehe!

avira user din, switched from avast to avira since parang nabibigatan ako sa avast lalo na sa startup.

Ang ayaw ko lang sa Avira free version merong pop-up akong nakukuha suring start advertising me to buy their payed version... I hate pop-ups so Avast pa rin ako sa mga free (of course besides Microsoft's new free anti-virus, pero kailangan legit Windows mo hehehe)

If you have a legit OS (mine is a genuine Win 7 home premium bundled with the laptop), it is good to use the Microsoft Security Essentials which is absolutely free and it runs smoothly...walang hassle at ang bilis...mas ok pa kesa alright...he he he...

Using the whole suite does take up quite a bit of resources. It's not evident on my desktop computers. But on marginal ones like my Toshiba laptop with its 4200rpm SATA hard drive, moving to the lighter MS Security Essentials did help.

There is a standalone install of Symantec Antivirus (Corporate). I think that's mostly with DoD and .gov sites. I used to have that one in tandem with Spybot: Search and Destroy.

In any case, I use a combo of MS SE and Spybot: Search and Destroy with Resident/Teatimer active on this pc (among other things).

You can disable the pop-up. Just google "avira disable nag screen".

I use McAfee as my anti-virus software. Update ? Err. Depends, it updates automatically. I do scan my full computer once every 2 weeks.

Been using it for a month now. So far no problems.

I thought AVG Free was better? I had McAfee and I unistalled it and replaced it with AVG.

^^ I dunno. Had been using AVG for like 6 months and the result is ! The computer is full of virus. So I decided to have my computer reformatted.

Dunno with McAfee though. Will look soon.

i am using McAfee on my desktop and AVG on my notebook. for me, the latter is not that good in virus protection but is light on memory usage and is very fast in doing updates so very ideal on my notebook.
