The electricity savings of an inverter washing machine are small compared to the price difference between an ordinary one. It's not like an aircon or ref that runs for hours on end.

Our current washing machine at home is an LG front-load with dryer, it has served us well for around 5 years now.

I bought a Panasonic topload though for my condo. Don't need the dryer since I don't like how lukot the clothes are when using the dryer. Also hassle that you have to bend down to get clothes. Nagpagawa pa kami platform na patungan ng washing machine just to have the front loading door at hip level.

The Panasonic is still new. Haven't used it yet, just installed it in the condo. The LG is the one that's been with us for half a decade. Works well pa naman.

if maganda kasi pwesto (di naarawan) prefer ko talaga hard plastic. parang kahit ano alaga mo sa bakal body, may kalawang parin lumalabas pag tagal. ito gamit namin ngayon pinag titripan ko pa iwax mga 2x a year eh LOL

Replaced our top loader with a front loader because of their ability to wash clothes better ... But one has to follow the instructions on how to properly use it ... Also don't use the water heater of the washing machine for normal washing ... Cold water washes just as well as warm/hot water ...

Also, if you wash clothes daily, a 6 or 7 kg capacity would be good enough since you need to separate clothes when washing anyway ... white, light color, dark color, sports wear, etc must be washed separately ... So a 10 kg washing machine is not necessary ... Others get the 10 kg so they can wash bed sheets and comforters but where would you hang them to dry? ... We just have them laundered, cheaper than forking out the extra cash for additional capacity ...

Regarding the inconvenience of having to bend down to get clothes in and out of a front loader ... Well, some people do pay to go to a gym to exercise ... It's like some people who take the time and effort to find the nearest parking slot when going to the gym ...

For those thinking of getting front load washing machine with driers ... Remember that a 7 kg can only dry 4-5 kg, a 10 kg can only dry 6-7 kg ...

Oh, and if you can, use only liquid detergents to avoid clogging up the washing machine ... and avoid fabric softeners, use vinegar instead ...

Can you qualify how a front loader cleans better? I've had both and pareho naman nakakatanggal ng mantsa and parehong hindi nakakasira ng damit. So how exactly does it clean better?

Yung natipid ko kasing 13k very tangible na benefit so I want to know kung tangible din ba yung alleged opportunity cost nun.

I get the advantages but I dont agree that those advantages costs like twice the price of a top load washing machine.

The only difference I can think of engineering-wise is the need for seals to prevent water from spilling.

Googled this topic, top loaders daw spin better, no difference in cleaning quality. Glad I did coz now I know I don't need a more expensive front loader

Should've said ... Bought front-loader because of their SUPPOSED ability to wash clothes better ... Can't tell the difference in cleaning ability though ... Also can't tell if it consumes less water ... If it does, maybe it's insignificant ...

the googled article i read, says that front loaders are aided by gravity, in flopping the clothes around, resulting in a cleaner load.
they also mentioned that of the list of machines ranked for cleanliness of laundry, in the study, only one of the many machines was a top loader.
they also said, that better cleaning activity is achieved, if the user does not fill the tub with clothes.
