Did you play the spiritual sequel? (Bloodlines)

The GoG version of Redemption behaves so much better than the original release. Bloodlines is only on Steam. I'll buy that too later on. I never got to play Bloodlines because I kinda got busy back then.

The framerates of Redemption maxed out were pretty low on the netbook even though the game was still playable. I installed Redemption on both the laptop and this PC. Much better framerates.
