November 7th, 2009 01:47 PM #15I had plenty of those mobile phones since I was in grade 4, kasi yan ata yung time na nag umpisa yung manufacturing nun eh, but all of my phones were Panasonic, I wasn't able to have any brands until now. Why? Because my dad works at Panasonic, haha. I was about 10 years old when I got my first mobile.
May be I was able to use 80% of Panasonic's Mobile phone models,
GD30-this is quite big with antenna
GD90-smaller, lighter 2 interchangeable back light colors (Time of 3210) this phone was way ahead of all those nokias i see, haha
GD52-same specs different design
GD75-no more antenna! super light weight
GD93- 7 interchangeable back light colors (This is one of the coolest!)
GD68- my first colored phone
GD88- first camera phone, (hindi ako makapaniwala na may ganito pala nun, sila kasi una naglabas ng may camera eh)
X66 - small clamshell design camera phone
SA7-2.0 mega pixel camera phone year 2003 i think, hindi pa sikat yung mega pixel na camera,
VS7- somewhat like SA7, nawala kasi yun eh,

November 12th, 2009 09:58 PM #17my list of victims, este cellphones past and present:
nokia 5110 -- hand-me-down; the protuding antenna was annoying; tough as hell though
nokia 6210 -- as a gift; loved the keypad
nokia 6020 -- small, compact, nearly everything i wanted. Worked reliably up until Ondoy
nokia E51 -- stolen after only 4 months of use
nokia 5130 -- current; nice tunes, a tad slow for my taste, hangs a bit too much. keypad a bit crampedLast edited by badkuk; November 12th, 2009 at 10:01 PM.

1. Early 1990's Motorola (family-shared) - parang pangkudkod ng yelo.
2. Nokia Personal 100 (1996) - tama ba pangalan?
3. JRC (forgot model) - the first SLIM cellphone. Well, for its time, that is.
4. Philips one-liner. Had two of these.
5. Bought a 6150, my boss coerced me to sell it to him after several days.
6. Then I coughed up Php14,000 in Feb. 2000 for my first ever Postpaid on a Nokia 7110. I was the coolest guy then. Even the GM and SVP's were envious. :bleh:
7. After 2 years, that 7110 went swimming ahead of me in Caticlan on our way to the boat bound for Boracay Island. :hammer: Damn belt clip! So I bought an open-line version for Php7,200 in Greenhills.
8. March 2004: Nokia 3660. Couldn't find a local source (and the budget?) for a Treo 600.
9. July 2005: My client gave me a PalmOne Treo 650. Still working, but antenna's missing. Ever since I passed it onto my children, nagmukha na siyang GASGAS na tinubuan ng CELLPHONE.
10. September 2006: second network, postpaid phone, Nokia 6101, small cash-out fee. Sold it to my sister after around 2 months, because I really wanted a Samsung Clamshell phone, pinagtiyagaan ko lang yung 6101 na tabatsoy.
11. December 2006: Open-line Samsung SGH-E760. Cool features! Unfortunately, after 2 years, bumigay ang hinge pero usable pa rin, until it dropped off the cabinet after vibrating on a new message on the inbox. Gamit na siya ng anak ko noon. Kaya ako bumili ng Centro.
12. September 2008: Postpaid retention: Nokia 3120 Classic. Nice, slim, tough. (current)
13. March 2009: Treo Centro. Palm loyalist, eh. (current)
14. For sure, my next phone will have Wi-Fi na. Nauna pa si misis magka-WiFi phone, and *I'M* the techie, for heaven's sake!
The missus:
1. Nokia 5110
2. Samsung SGH-E310s ba yun? Yung maliit!
3. Nokia 6600 - postpaid
4. Nokia 5800 XpressMusicLast edited by woohoo; November 13th, 2009 at 07:42 AM.

November 13th, 2009 09:26 AM #20imho WiFi isn't that widespread yet here in RP; most establishment that offer "free" WiFi requires you to buy something from them. Kung home wifi naman, you'd most likely be using your laptop or netbook.
although airports and malls are starting to offer free Wifi though.
Not wifi bashing btw -- habol ko nga ung wifi kaya bumili ako ng E51. It's just that i think 3G is much more widespread; in theory connection can be available wherever there's a cell signal. Sakit lang nga sa bulsa B)
