Putting up either is no small feat. i seriously doubt if the duopoly will allow Telstra to piggyback on their infra, in spite of the supposed deregulation here. It requires significant investment, billions of pesos...and that's the easy part. i'm sure there are a ton of permits, regulations, etc that they need to comply with -- that's the hard part. And all the while the duopoly will not make things easy for them.
Then, if by some miracle they do put up their infra. the duopoly can easily start a price war and price them out of the market.
RSA and Telstra are not stupid, they know all this...so either they have a deck of trump cards up their sleeves, or ....![]()
