As far as I know SMART & GLOBE has nothing to do with this. NTC/DOTC is the one who evaluates a telco application. There are requirements that should be passed for you to operate and provide mobile services. Hindi siguro sila takot.....actually they (SMART & GLOBE) need a new comer like SUN to lessen telecommunications monopoly and strengthen mobile industry in terms of a healthy competition.

Wag kang mag-alala....affected ang mga yan sa Sun pero hindi naman masyadong nakakasakit o nakakapilay sa kanila. Hinarang ng gobyerno ang pagbili ng Gokongwei family sa PLDT kasi bawal sa batas ng PLDT yan. Monopolized ang mobile industry natin kapag pinayagan yan. Gokongwei owns Digitel (which is a PSTN provider). Ngayon kapag binili nya pa ang PLDT (which also a PSTN provider)..... monopolya na po ang resulta.
