May 24th, 2018 10:59 PM #971unless the aircon is of a special type, aircon repair is usually de cajon.
i call up the repairman, who comes to the house and fixes it there. if a part is needed and he did not bring it, he comes back later that day.
we live in a place where such parts are not difficult to get.
it is not easy to pull out that heavy aircon, load it in the car, and drive to the shop. then, once repaired, do the reverse.Last edited by dr. d; May 24th, 2018 at 11:02 PM.

Why I haven't thought of it to just call them? Well, it so happened that it was 4 PM and my wife will not have a goodnight sleep if it won't be repaired right away. If I were to call, the repair guy will surely come the next day.
If my wife won't have a goodnight sleep, I might not have my 2 AM routine. There, that makes it urgent and necessary.

How do I say it here? I know! Exercise, "exercise with partner".
[emoji1]
Please don't ask what particular exercise that I do, as I have read in the forum's rules and regulations that it is prohibited to mention it and much more to discuss it that I will be banned.
In the absence of rules and regulations, there might be minors here.
So, I'm out of here.

May 31st, 2018 11:07 AM #980What's the diff between full dc and standard inverter when it comes to savings? Does it really have a big effect? Asking because not sure if I should just stick to the standard one or upgrade to the full dc.

It is repairable. But as oj88 mentioned, it is messy (when repaired) and best used as a last resort.
