For me, the most efficient place for an AC blower is the highest arms length level of the shortest user from the controls and air flow directed to the users' bed. This way, similar to car ACs, the users get direct cool air immediately, bringing down the body temp faster leaving the rest of the hotspots of the room to cool down on their own time.

But then again, some would say it is better to place it through the windows. Should you require to pull it out, it should be easy.

Yes, that's what I know. Another reason why you place the air conditioning unit "away from people". The skin and muscles "will get sick" if exposed to sudden change in humidity. Some with sensitive skins can attest to this, like formation of "flakes" around the lips and itchiness to joints accompanied by redness.

It is generally recommended to set the thermostat with a 5 degree difference from the ambient temperature, comfortable to most people staying inside the room all the time.

However, most of us are known to be stubborn, just like me, and so we go against the recommendations of the experts.

Maybe, as Archerfish said, for some, but this is what I did for so long na, tutok ang blower sa akin for immediate relief and pag okay na, sabay taas na ng blower. Pag electric fan, ganon din, tutok palagi.

Word on the street is, a lot of commercial bids calling out A/C suppliers have banned vendors carrying the Samsung brand from participating. By banned, they have actually specified in their bid docs that vendors offering Samsung will automatically be disqualified.

Take that with a grain of salt but I have personal 1st hand experience with Samsung inverter A/Cs.

    They're crap.

In the beginning, we had 6 Samsung inverter splits. In 5 years time, 3 units would have required a system board replacement and a 4th one became a total write-off (compressor leak due to rust). Out of the original 6, only 5 remains. And out of the 6, only 2 didn't need major repairs.

In place of the fallen Samsung, we've installed an LG 2.5HP inverter. I hope this fares better than the unit it replaced.

We have two Panasonic inverter splits. No issues whatsoever.

Though, the upfront cost is the issue. ;)

just installed a 2.0hp samsung inverter split a/c. this is my 1st samsung a/c and hope to last just like my other installed a/c brands (panasonic, carrier and sanyo).
was installed by the best contractor in town.
the owner is so accommodating and his recommended brand actually is the hitachi. he said all 7-11 stores they have installed knows only one brand... hitachi!
according to him, this a/c brand has the lowest operating amp that will translate to lowest power consumption. but..... the most expensive a/c in the market!

hitachi na 2hp? last research ko LG and GREE and Samsung pinaka mababa na power draw.

per size ba yang 20ft? if yes your installation cost is cheap. kasama rin ba sa installation cost yung mga electrical accessories (i.e isolation switch, wires, etc)?

the logical reason why 7-11 use only hitachi a/c brand coz it's 24-hours in operation.
as per the owner statement, power consumption savings by hitachi a/c is upto 50% vs other leading brand. kaya kahit almost 2x ang acquisition unit price nya ay yan lang ang ikinakabit ng 7-11 stores.
