Split Type Aircon: Which is best?

Pag window-type mahirap buhatin lalo na at near ceiling ang position ng aircon.

my dad had the foresight. he had the aircons installed between the window and the floor.
we can pull it out and clean it ourselves, should we wish to.

near-ceiling aircons must be remote-controlled. otherwise, you will have to keep a ladder in the room.
also, pulling it out for whatever reason, is a big job.
but function-wise, it is a "better location" than near-ceiling.
