guys, i've posted this na sa gadgets.ph. kaya lang ang tagal ng mga sagot dun eh. tsaka mas malimit ako tambay dito kesa sa kabila eh. so i ask for your help guys.

btw PSP = Play Station Portable, hindi sya Professional Services Provider....

yung anak ko kasi is asking for a PSP this christmas. bugok ako dito sa technology na ito. definitely he will only be using this to play games...

my questions:

1. Ano yung mga nabibiling PSP sa Greenhills? ok ba yun?
2. Yung mga nabibiling PSP sa Greenhills pwedeng mag run na yun ng pirated games?
3. Yung mga nabibiling PSP na brand new sa mga malls, hindi pwedeng mag play yun ng pirated games?
4. Ano ibig sabihin ng UMD? layman's terms ha? comparable ba sya sa BIOS ng PC?
5. Ano-ano pa ba ang pwedeng gawin o capability ng PSP?
6. Kung pirated games, magkano price range nya?
7. Kung original games, magkano price range?
8. Ano kaibahan ng US PSP and Japan PSP? Nakakapagplay ba sila ng mga original games na nabibili dito sa pinas?

You also need Version 2.0 or Lower of PSP to be able to play pirated games.AFAIK
3.Mas mahal lang sa mall compare to GH basta importante lang yong Version ng PSP is not higher than 2.0
4.UMD mean Universal Motion Dancer's Joke Ito yong CD na mabibili mo wd games you will need one para ma load mo yong Pirated games.
5.MP3 player din sya and pwede ka manood ng Movie MP4 format lang yata.

6.Dati i got it P250/game now P75/game suki na kasi. Pwede ka din mag DL kung matiyaga ka.

pre ok ang PSP. my sister has one for more than a year na. saka biglang bagsak ang presyo nya. dati nasa 19K ngayon may nakikita na ako as low as 9K. UMD=Universal Media (Mini) Disc. hataw sa games at sounds ang PSP pati ikaw pre tyak maglalaro . na addict ako sa NFS, Harry Potter at Dragon Ball.

1. May nada-download na tool for this. I forgot the name pero it can copy the game sa mem card.
2. Nasa menu yun ng PSP hehehehe
3. yung UMD sinasalpak mismo sa PSP. yung mem card is for saving games, photos, mp3, etc. May USB interface para maitransfer mo yung mga files mo sa PC and vice-versa.

pirated games or cds na binebenta contains the file of the game itself.. to transfer it, u need the usb cable connected to ur psp and cpu.. tpos transfer ka ng file.. wala pang pirated umds sa psp.. lahat ng games ay burned from a cd..

ok..this is getting complicated.
assuming i bought a pirated game. so in order to transfer the pirated game i bought into the PSP, i just need the cable. no need for the umd?

so i really don't need a umd, or a transfer if i buy an original game?

im a proud owner of japan version of psp.. here are my answers:

1. yup ok nman kung sa greenhills mo binili.. ang pinagkaiba lng ay yng presyo..

2. there are 2 versions of psp.. verion 1.5 & 2.0 (?) the first batch of psp are version 1.5.. these versions are hackable.. so madali magplay ng pirated games d2..

3. pwede, as long as you have the 1.5 version of the psp, so that u can play pirated games.. if u have the 2.0 version, you can downgrade (hndi upgrade!) it to version 1.5

4.UMD- Univeral Media Disc.. these are new generations of cds.. umd contains games or movies in a small cd enclosed to a platic covering.. try mo search sa google pictures para mkita mo yng style nya..

5. u can store pictures, mp3s, and other files.. basta u have a memory card, marami kang malalagay..

6. ang huling pagkakaalam ko ay binenta ito noon ng 3 games for 1000 pesos.. ewan ko nlng ngayon.. if u have a dsl connection, u can download games for urself.. may mga sites ng pirated games via the net.. but it will take u 2-3 days to download the game depending kng madalas nka-on yng computer mo.. pero tipid din ito kse hndi ka na bibili pa..

7. 2k-3k depending sa type ng games.. bt may nagbebenta ng original umd na 1,500 nlng.. 2nd hand yun.. but still, hndi nman madaling magasgasan yng umd since, enclosed pa yng cd sa plastic covering..

8. ito ang hndi ko alam.. japan version yng akin, nakakaplay nman ng original US games, english nman yng characters ko.. sbi daw nila sa buttons lng daw ang may pinagkaibahan.. but still wla naman kaso yun..

ang alam ko sir if you have the 2 GB memory stick it can store max 7 games dipende nalang sa laki ng games na ilalagay mo no need for the UMD, unless wla kang 2gb na memory stick.

assuming i bought a pirated game. so in order to transfer the pirated game i bought into the PSP, i just need the cable. no need for the umd?

so i really don't need a umd, or a transfer if i buy an original game?

bro, ganito yan, wala tayong pirated umd.. the "pirated games" na cnasabi nila are games na pwede ma-download sa internet.. so yng "pirated'' ay cd that contains the file of the game.. in able to transfer it, u need to put the pirated cd sa computer mo, then transfer the contents of the game to ur psp via the usb cable (usb cable comes when u buy psp)

in short, all umd are original.. wlang umd sa pirated.. umd is not ur typical cd, it is a small cd enclosed in a plastic layer.. think of a cartridge na cd ang laman.. so ito ang ilalagay mo sa psp mo..

2. yup, you can play pirated games directly to it, but first u will install a program that will enable you to play pirated games.. and you can play original games into it directly..

3. bro, hndi ko alam kung magkano but available nman ito sa shops sa greenhills..

umd are the original cartridge games of the psp.. but dahil may memory card ang psp, pwede na tayo ngyon makapaglaro ng games through the use of memory card.. kaya kumalat ang pirated games dahil, you can put yng games sa memory card, without buying expensive umd..

so pag may umd ka, salpak mo nlng yng umd sa psp, then play. take note that 1 umd = 1 game lng.. kaya mas mkakatipid ka sa memory card..

yap all umd disc are original tpos yung tinatwag nila na pirated games eh yung game na isave sa memory card ng psp mo gets mo ba ulit? and as i said b4 my mga games na require na higher or lower version depende sa games na gusto mo?

pinag kaiba lang ng japan version at u.s. version ng psp eh sa umd movie hnde mo ma panood yung umd movie na galing sa japan and vice versa because sa region code nila....
