^^^ After 25 years, the equipment would be obsolete and due for replacement.
Maraming Pros and Cons. Personally, mahal pa rin esp yung pag maintain ng parts and batteries. Pag may calamity delikado rin masira ng mga flying debris. Siguro pag nagmura na

di ko na mahanap yung emails na-erase ko yata. kilala ng kilala ni misis, nagpapatulong kasi sa akin to introduce them sa lgu sa zambales. told them ayaw ko makialam in any deals with government. basically they want to put up solar power plants on top of municipal buildings and markets and sell the electricity to the lgu.

agree, kaya nga it only becomes economical pag large scale e. prices are still P100/watt for the panels and about 2x for the batteries, charge controller and sine wave inverter. not to mention added costs if you want to tie it to the gird. then when the time comes to change the batteries whatever you saved kulang pa pambili ng baterya.
there are some sellers though with low prices but those are china-made products, so expect the same quality as the solar panel offered by cdr king.
Sinubukan ko sa small scale lang say lighting / e. fans and ref para in case of brown out tuloy pa rin ang liwanag eh nung sinuma ko mahal din para sa kin like presyo ng battery ( mas mataas wattage mas mahal syempre). gamitin mo man or hindi sigurado palit ka in ilang years. Ibabayad ko na lang sa meralco![]()
up ko lang ito, baka lang someone else has further input.
Currently looking into the kits/packages ng Solaric for grid tie, primarily because it's the cheapest i found online, meron pa ba ibang providers that have better offers?
Please forgive me pero initial research ko palang ito and i don't think i know what i'm talking about yet hence the preference to contractors versus bulding one.

Hindi naman wise investment ang solar... how much investment nyo? And savings nyo? 20-30% Lang ang efficiency ng solar... If you set up a 5kw grid tie, and your monthly bill is around 4.5-8k per month ang savings mo nasa 1.5k Lang per month... Lalo na kung ang set up mo sa bahay Lang... Usually sa gabi ang mataas na load mo..
A 5kw set up will cost at least 400k, at 1.5-2k savings per month ilan years mo before mabawi yan.... Paano pa maintenance mo?
Mas malaki pa kikitain ng sari sari store na ang puhunan 30k..
Solar is only advisable sa areas na Walang power....
And is not a reliable source of power at night....
You need pa a lot of space.. For your panels.. And space and GREAT ventilation for your batteries... Delikado pa fumes ng batteries mo.. It could could cause cancer pa...
Another sample.. How much is a solar lamp post? Ilan watts Lang ang pinapatakbo nyan? 3watts...
How much naman kaya ang cost ng kuryente mo in a month? Sa Isang 3w na bulb?
With investments or purchase like these, cheap shouldn't be a major factor in decision making.
Don't go for off grid with battery system. Go for on grid and apply for net metering from power company. With net metering, your excess electricity is passed onto the grid and credited to your monthly bill. This way you earn income from your investment. Remember, don't get a cheap system.
Net metering Meron min. AFAIK may min. Load allowed.. Imo dapat 1Mw..
Oh yeah! Good catch Glenn. May minimum ngapala net metering. A few months ago kasi bills namin were consistently in the 5 digit range. Pero when i switched yung mga aircon to those inverters types laki ng binaba. So instead of getting those 5kWp kits before, naisip ko siguro 1.5kWp then net metering sakto na. But now napaalala mo yung requirements sa net metering, it doesn't make sense for me any longer na ituloy yung balak ko.
And yes *walter, my plan was to get grid tie then net metering.
Thanks for the input guys!
Teka yung may minimum ata na nasa isip ko is yung peak off peak program ng meralco instead of the net metering.
it's still my dream to have it but at current price medyo intay muna ako bumaba. last ng mag pa quote ako 700K for our home use, siguro in 5 years time baka pwede na i consider. Since our monthly bill is about 12K per month max.. and min of 8K
