Huawei only lost access to Google Play... They can still make devices running Android as it's Open Source, but Google Play will need to be side loaded.

Just like all Android devices sold in China. No Google Play, no GMAIL, no Google Maps and no Chrome

And this is only applicable to future devices... Existing devices (as long as you bought it outside China) are not affected.

Yes. Nauna na yung ban sa telco/carrier equipment ng Huawei sa US.

Huawei has been shady before. They function like a global company but they behave like a small time Chinese company. They can probably get away with it if they're just marketing their stuff in China. But in the global stage, there are legislations and international policies they need to comply with. I guess their alleged dealings with Iran broke the camel's back.

AOSP will get updated... Same reason 3rd party ROMs get security updates.

Only question is will Huawei update them

Not only Intel and Qualcomm. Huawei has been restricted in using US suppliers of software and hardware/semiconductor parts after Huawei was added to the US Dept of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security“Entity List”. Per conversation with my local semicon friends who work with US MNC, all outbound shipments were stopped last Friday to comply with the US order.

As expected, lalo na sa market natin na sobrang price conscious ng mga tao, plus hindi pa sila available sa carriers.

Sila na din mismo nagsabi na they don't compete with Samsung/Huawei, so definitely they're not after sales numbers, basta maging profitable lang yung mobile division.

Sa dami ng grey market sellers Sony fans could still get their hands on the super delayed Xperia 1, first hand impressions praise the new triple cameras system developed under the Alpha team's supervision. Finally nagtulong tulong na din sila.

Alcatel (though owned by TCL) I think is still thriving pero recently laki ng discounts sa lineup nila.

But the tables have turned. Huawei 5G solutions are better and cheaper than its western counterparts like nokia and ericsson. Nadamay sa trade war ni Trump.

I guess 5g will be deployed slowly on this developed countries. [emoji23]
Truth is, US still "has" influence. Even in AU, Huawei 5g is banned. So yes, Huawei are better and cheaper atm but until when?
On 2nd thought, Huawei can dump all their resources to 3rd world countries and make them more developed thereby nullyfying the effects. But for ow, they would probabaly be on a loss for years.

We could see the rebirth of the old transmission companies and/or a new one will come by.

Regarding Google blocking Huawei, they can easily develop an OS on their own, but that means, they are isolating themselves from the current popular OS'es for phones. Will the new Huawei OS become popular? Time will tell
