Overnight charging is a non-issue for any modern mobile phone or most LiIon-equipped gadgets of reasonable reputation.
There are exceptions though. I have a pair of Cobra 2-way radios that still use a manual charger. From empty, you need to set a reminder to stop the charger after 8-10 hours. Even though I've forgotten to remove the radios from the charging dock several times, sometimes for more than 48 hrs (batteries were a little warm to the touch), the radios still work. The batteries already have a very slight bloat on them but there doesn't seem to be any significant decrease in capacity, considering they're already 8 years old.
