How does it work? talaga ba ma lo locate ka using this service? Do you need to subscribe the party that you want to be located? ???

Eh ang GLOBE meron din ba nito? How about ang SUN?

built in na yan sa cell site, it's how the phone company knows what cell site to use to send/receive your calls and text. accuracy is the area enclosed by the distance of the 3 nearest cell sites to you (triangulation). pag nasa probinsya ka, then it's down to 1 cell site and that could be several miles.

meron yan sa SMART buddy kahit sa TNT pwede rin. matagal ng activated yan. di lang yata masyadong nagagamit ng SMART users.
nasubok ko na gamitin. pag within metro manila ka... medyo accurate. pero pag sa probinsya na... malaki na ang error. mga 5-10 kms din ang error. tulad minsan, alam ko na nasa sto tomas yung cell ng anak ko... pag locate ko... calamba daw! :freak: depende yan kung saang cellsite ka malapit.

Alam ko globe merong LBS (Location Based Services) dati but tengga yung project because of privacy issues.

I enrolled my sim dati (Mga 2001 ata yun.... )

smart has this service for quite sometime. regarding provinces, due to a big location and one cellsite can cover a big area, thats why its not that reliable unlike in the metro where their are lots and lots of cellsite, which can pinpoint a location to a radius of 500 feet.

Maganda kung merong real-time locator service for private vehicles na din, para mata-track mo kung may tumangay na sa oto mo.

sir bogeyman....meron yata smart na locator for cars...i know they were offering this when i was thinking of buying a pajero...

Di kaya ito medyo mabigat na pag dating sa privacy nung tao, I mean kung nasa loob ka ng HAPPY Sauna eh huling huli ka ng commander mo....Dont you think that only the police should have access on this kind of services?

Ano ba ito, if I enroll my GF SIM, eh pwede na siya ma track ng kahit sino (i.e. ako, tatay niya, nanay niya, at yung ex BF niya??)
