yes peanut talaga. isa ako sa makakapagpatunay na malalaki talaga ang salary ng mga IT professionals na pinoy dito. marami akong firends na IT dito and grabe lalaki ng sweldo. also, yung wife ng office mate ko is not a senior exceutive but she is earnng sgd7.5k a month so more or less php250k yan.
another thing, my wife is working in a remittance center here and mostly ang malalaking magpadala sa kanla ay nasa IT fields.
isa pang plus point dito is yung maliit na tax.

July 29th, 2007 06:03 AM #34OT. maliit ang tax sa sweldo sa singapore kasi lahat naman ng binibili mo merun ng GST. And (I think) they don't get a budget na for the CPF (central provident fund or yung SSS/Pag-ibig counterpart) from your salary.

if thats our thinking then we shouldnt wonder nor complain why Philippines is this or that... citizens are always asking what the country can do for them not what they can do for the country...

in a more positive sense, ok lang naman na pumunta sila sa ibang bansa. I disagree that there is brain drain. baby factory ang Pilipinas eh, there will always be others who will replace them.
in fact, mas ok pa nga eh kasi if those who stay uplifts our country (which is I believe inevitable na, count 5-10 more years and we'll beat singapore), the very same people who left will come back to enjoy greener pastures here.
parang na-double kara kagad ang Singapore, talo natin kagad sila economically tapos sila naman makaka-experience ng brain drain sabay.

Ang masaklap diyan eh, we might have to buy softwares abroad written by Filipinos at higher prices.
Better business revenues for Singapore. Tayo naman dito sa Pinas...gastos ng gatos, as if mayaman tayo.
