Sa mga ACE Hardware, Handyman, DIY shops meron replacement battery for UPS. Bilhin mo yung 12V 7.0AH.

Pwede ka rin gumamit ng car battery para mas matagal ang backup time mo

You can also check with dealer outlets of car batteries like OUTLAST or MOTORLITE. They also sell SLA type batteries like the ones being used in rechangable emergency lamps & UPS devices.

I just bought three UPS batteries from the OUTLAST dealer located at N.Domingo near Gilmore St, New Manila, QC. Costs around P760 each for the model of battery I needed. Best to bring the old battery to check if it's the same size/model.

have you tried opening the battery and checking the distilled water levels? This is what i used to do when I was still working as a network admin and has nothing better to do, I opened up 2 "defective" UPS because it doesn't charge anymore, bought distilled water and filled the batteries to almost full, tried plugging it in and the charge light lit up, tried charging it and putting load, worked!

tama usually 12v 7.0ah yung rating ng ups battery, pero mas maganda dalin yung luma or take measurements para sakto. Sinubukan kong gumamit ng car battery pero ayaw gumana, nag shutoff yung ups.bakit kaya? I tried a small engine battery( pang lawn mower/generator) 30 rc 17ah ok naman left an electric fan on for almost an hour nde pa din na drain. pede nang pang brownout, nakakairita nga lang yung beep ng ups

Sir, what model of APC UPS uses the P2,500 replacement battery? Kasi kabibili ko pa lang ng 300 watt capacity na APC UPS (Model ES 500), at P1,975 lang ang cost nya, parang lumalabas na mas mahal pa yung replacement battery kaysa sa bagong unit.

In my APC BackUPS, the battery is sealed lead acid.

If you're not familiar with that, as in really really familiar, better buy the original. Batteries can explode if used improperly.

we have a large UPS with 8 pcs 12V 5Ah batteries. grouped into 2, group A in series, so 48V. then group B also in series.

then group A is wired in parallel to group B. so effectively 48V 10Ah.

I'm planning to "upgrade" it by getting 4 pcs 12V 38Ah. costs about 5k each. what do you think guys?

gonna use motolite valve-regulated lead acid.

our UPS is a 3000VA/2000W unit with cooling fan so heat shouldn't be an issue.

[SIZE=2]Yup, thats why i will stick to the specs 12v 7aH and perform burn-in test..

But im also thinking what would happen if i install the 7.2aH battery in my APC UPS instead of the original 7.0aH..I know this is a capacity upgrade, but would that also mean an additional load to the charger that could damage the UPS? I guess this is similar to what Sir Psylocke is thinking..

As what ive observed, our building 10KVA, and 15KVA UPS batteries are of fixed number of pieces and banks, and i have'nt seen the power people doing battery addition on UPS. In telco setup however, rectifiers can handle runtime upgrade by adding battery banks in parallel, and most modern rectifiers auto adjust or have manual adjustment to fine-tune the charging current for the number of battery banks installed..

Can anyone confirm if battery upgrade for UPS would be safe?. Any power plant or infrustructure engineer there? tnx
