Binasag ng toddler ko yung 49" and 55" Samsung 4k tv dahil overjoyed siya sa pinapanood. Nabato ng toy niya yung screen and may nag leak dun sa LCD. Pag LCD ang damage eh its better to replace na lang the whole TV?

Yup, I was also surprised at how low dumb TV prices have gone down. But I don't know for 4k units, hanggang 1080p lang ako, actually I rarely watch beyond 720p as 1080p is already too huge a file size, much more for 4k.

Yup. We had a 50" 3D Samsung and when it conked out 2 years after purchase the repair quote was higher than a brand new smart 50". Hindi nga lang 3D.
Dapat siguro may UPS/voltage regulator ang mga TV ngayon. Ang layo ng durability vs CRTs.

^^^??? i have a 56" smart LG and it's past 6 years already. eto almost 20 hours a day naka On, pag nagsawa sa tv, utube or netflix ps4 naman ang gawa ng mga anak ko. i just use a regular spike protected extension.

Di naman lahat ng led/lcd namin ganun. Meron din kaming 4 year old 40" na Samsung. Pero compared to CRTs parang mas mataas ang failure rate.
