I am so satisfied with my Toshiba laptop that I won't even consider buying any other brand the next time. My laptop has survived a thorough beating when I used it heavily for my graduate thesis. I've had it for more than 2 years already and not a SINGLE gliche.

Good buy yang compaq presario! Ganyan din yung binili kong laptop a month ago. Good specs for a cheap price! Pero right now im planning to buy a high end laptop for my gaming needs. Gusto ko yung HP Pavillion na nasa 69k yung price... i forgot the model pero ganda specs nya and runs on NVIDIA graphics!

If you know the names of each device, you can hunt down XP drivers online. Plus, some Vista drivers work with XP. My Toshiba Satellite came with Vista Home Premium. I decided I wanted to game on it. So, I put XP Home in it. I got some Vista drivers which worked with XP from the restore dvd discs. I then tracked down XP drivers from Toshiba (for those hardware similar to mine) and other sites online.
The biggest potential problem was having a 250gb SATA hard drive and XP not recognizing the full size or the hard drive.
I took a Western Digital hard drive utility cd which saw the hard drive and used that to partition and format the hard drive first. Then, I put in the XP Home cd and proceeded with a normal install but skipped the partition/format phase.
So now, I have a fully functional XP laptop which originally shipped with Vista only. If I had more powerful graphics, I wouldn't bother. But, the ATI X1200 is rather weak and ran games better with XP.

im also in this situation.. im aiming for HP Pavilion dv6700t or a compaq presario. but i heard some posts here (in tforums) and in gadgets that HP aren't that good daw. of course i was disapointed cause i really like the pavilion. i dont know how true is this. can anybody comfirm? a friend told me to buy a dell instead of HP. :dunno:  and oh, is HP ang copmpaq's quality the same or different? considering they're merged companies?

I'd get the Dell followed by the HP. I'd also get either one with the nVidia 8400M GS graphics chip.

Panasonic Lead Acid is now under GS Yuasa. Sent from my SM-S901E using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
