i just got a sony kdl-40v2500 for my ps3 (i'm using a monster made hdmi cable)....parang d ako impress sa blu ray...hindi crystal clear like i had expected it to be. sometimes parang may mga snow flakes na nakikita even at 1080p. is it the ps3? is the tv defective? or i just had high expectations? i'll try to hook my xbox360 sa tv ko then watch hd-dvd...pag ganon parin, may problema na yata ang tv...
hi guys,
i 'll have the PS3 over to test the LCD screen for those who want to see how the TV performs. txt me from Feb/16 - 20AM. if ur' interested in any of these hi-def LCD TV's.... (0927-937-5627)
Hitachi 32": P60K;
LG 32": P60K
Sharp Aquos 37": P80K.
PS3 60GB version . [i'm willing to part with it for P35K w/ 2orig games (Ridge Racer, Genji + HDMI Cable ] (only used for about a week) if ur' willing to get any of the above TV. tnx.
[basic specs]
Resolution: 1366 x 768 [720p/1080i: perfect with Sony PS3/XBox360]
Multi-System.
Component Video / HDMI connectors
If you're going 40" or above I vote for the Sony Bravia XBR. It's native 1080p LCD really looks much better than 1080 scaled to fit a 1366x768 resolution. (sadly, I got a 32" 720p while a friend took the plunge and got the Bravia)
At smaller screen sizes IMO the difference between 720p and 1080 isn't as discernible.
i heard that the sony bravia 32 inch lcd is going for 50k, no freebies included.
LCD's any time. Ung plasma pag napundi tapon ang LCD pag nasira change lamps lang. Have a Sharp and Samsung get the Samsung they have better aftersales service may service unit pa same as what they will pull out. Sa Sharp iinit ulo mo sa kaka follow up![]()

If you are looking for a 1080p LCD NOW (as in di na ako makahintay for another 6 months or so), may I suggest the Samsung Mosel F7:
Comes in 40, 46 and 52 inch models. Dalawa na ang HDMI port niya sa likod tapos naka 10-bit processing na siya. This is perfect if you need 1080p ASAP.
Yes that's why for me the premium pricing of 1080p systems over 1080i/720p is not worth it. so i took the jump on the Sharp Aquos LCD-37BX5. all i can say it rocks, esp. with PS3 hi-def games. maybe two more years to make it more affordable. anyway if u are the type of person who can only needs the best there are other FULL HD (1080p) systems out there other than Samsung. Sharp has the biggest LCD screen of them all at 65" (but u need to cough up around P1M). Other Sharp Fully systems are LCD-52G7; LCD-46G7/LCD-46B7; LCD-42G7/LCD-42B7;
40 inch model nito is now at 230k pesos. May kasama ng libreng freebies for cash buyers and 12 months/0% interest seekers.
Cash buyers:
Free 20 inch LCD TV + Digital Camera (7.2 megapixel)
12 months/0% interest:
Free 20 inch LCD TV
Of course kasama na dito ang free wall mount bracket, free installation and 3 months extended warranty.
Right now, for me it's cheap and expensive. Cheap kasi orig price nito (LA-40F71) was 270k and that was just less than three months ago. Expensive though kasi nasa 200k range pa rin siya (sub-200k is the "sweet spot")
Siyempre bababa din ang presyo BUT for those who want 1080p NOW, I think this is WELL WORTH ITBetter than the Sony X series. KLV-40X200A/KLV-40X250A is still at 250k. People would prefer this kung gusto nila ng "floating glass design" pero other than that, mas mahal 'to kaya high-end buyers would prefer the Samsung F7 instead.
Sharp is also good. The 46-G7M and 52-G7M just arrived last week in our shores pero di ko alam yung pricing nito. Good thing though is 4 ms ung respone time pero I don't know if price would be good (definitely more expensive than the Samsung Mosel F7).
As for plasma, wala pang 1080p ang plasma. Well maybe for the last two models pero yung 1080p niya is only 24 fps (none for 30/60fps).

Nice one pero baka gray import model lang ito (baka Panasonic Philippines will refuse to repair and give warranty).
Problem lang sa plasma though is SUPER HIGH POWER CONSUMPTION. Compared to LCD of same size/screen-size (Pioneer 50 inch versus Sony 52X200A)
Lamang ang Sony LCD by 30 Watts. Also, for those who live in small rooms/small living areas, walang small size ang Plasma (smallest I've seen is Panasonic 37 inch pero there is nothing smaller than that)

Siya nga pala, may price cut sa Samsung LCD TVs.
Like for example:
LA-32R71/B
From 90k (six months ago) to 60k (ngayon)
Tapos less 5000 pesos for on-the-spot cash buyers![]()
According to them this is imported by Panasonic Philippines. At covered 'to ng full warranty daw. It's the industrial model kaya di lumabas sa consumer catalogue. Yung comparable sized na Sharp Aqous na 65" is also a high power consumer. 610W ang kinakain din yan. Yung difference daw is LCD comsumption is constant, while Plasma consumption varies from dark to bright programs.
