I'm guessing it's your hardware. There's usually no latency problems with hardware unless they're sharing something, be it resources or pathways.

I got some leads to the problem though... apparantly, despite the ASPM option is around, it's not functional...
I take it ASPM is the really nice function where the pc powers down after a certain time specified. Yet when the power button is pressed, the pc resumes right were it left off within a blink, usually in the Windows desktop.

I have new hardware. That function works perfectly. I know it wouldn't work with my previous pc.
