very happy with my 12 " ibook g4(1.33ghz/512mb)(P 70k) compared to the 12" ibm x40(1.4ghz/256mb) which is 50k more. faster start and shutdown, much longer battery life(sira siguro yung battery sa x40, 2hrs lang ang battery life!) and feels faster too. cons: very heavy compared to the x40 and less stable movie players available (problems especially with matroska files).

power shmower hehe.... not really true unless you use both and can really compare.

I am a PC and Mac user and I'm happy with both. I love my pwerbook but naiinggit ako sa ibook ng wife ko. that scrollable trackpad is amazing! hehe... the widgets are awesome as well.

but yeah, macs crash from time to time as well. Playstations are more stable (since it is Harware+software combo like a mac). hehe.

dual core G5's w/ liquid cooling would do the trick...

but then again... Apple is switching to Intel chips soon... so this won't be an issue..

so ano na mga personalization na ginawa nyo sa mga macs nyo?
any third part application na na-install?
what are the most complicated tasks you do everyday?

im really curious kung anong type ng users ang gumagamit ng mac dito.

Mas malala pa nga yung mouse ng 1st gen iMac. Hindi ergonomic yung design, as in bilog. Masakit sa palad lalo na kung malaki yung kamay mo. Gagamit ka pa ng third party peripheral such as iCatch para medyo maging pahaba yung mouse.

Based on specs... the PowerPC is less powerful compared to the Intel and AMD chips the PC has. But macs seem faster because of OS X. Windows is really slow compared to OSX. This is one reason why Apple is switching to Intel chips because IBM can't give them more juice...

    need4speed,

gusto ko nga rin ng mac mini, but do you have to buy a separate monitor for it? may monitor ba ang apple? im eyeing a nice powerbook or ibook tapos mejo ok lang na desktop para sa surfing at word processing lang. tapos ipod 20 gb. this is my dream setup hehehe

You can use an existing VGA monitor for the Mac mini, AFAIK.

I was a windows user for most of my life. Shifted to Mac 2 months ago. I realized that I should have switched to Mac earlier. It is such a joy to use. Very easy. Am loving it so far.

nakakasawa na ksi pg nkawindows, ang dalas mag-crash. kakasawa narin mag-reformat. but we still have our PCs. having the mac mini is such a very nice option and i must agree to what knight23 said.
