meron ba mac user dito?
Me. Workstations namin sa office puro Macs, pero kabibili lang namin ng Asus laptop over the weekend. Wala eh, mahal ang Powerbook.![]()
Mac User here as well. PB 12" 1 GHZ. Once you go Mac, you'll never go back!![]()
Used to be mac user. Started with the very first macPlus then the Performa series, then Power series til the G3 and 4 series (forgot the other older models). I tried and used almost all models and OS series of macs, til I switch to PCs 3 years ago because of my line of work.
ibook g4, ok na to, newbie lang ako but so far its user friendly parang nokia na cellpgone lang
Macs are just waste of money if you're just going to use them for typical everyday tasks. PCs can take over these (malaking mura pa). Macs are for serious high-end, graphic-intensive, memory-hungry tasks.
No offense po sa mga mac owners.![]()
au contraire mon ami... (a typical myth i might add)
even with just doing everyday typing and surfing... you have less things to worry about and get to be more productive in the end. the absense of viruses / spyware / malware and security flaws found in windows and the whole lot makes it worth its weight in gold and i'm sure many people who have or tried a mac can attest to it.
as they say don't diss it till you've tried it. IT Security is my line of work and with all the crap i see on Windows, I'm glad I have a Mac/Linux gear to take my mind off of Windows.

yes pc hardware (especially clones) are often cheaper but in the long run there are 2 things you have to consider: a) total life of ownership for the computer and b) your computer experience ... (the piracy aspect not included)
here are a few more links for the pc vs. mac myth and facts

I totally agree with you. PC can never match the power of a mac ever since its introduction in 1989 or so. Like what I said, I'm an experienced mac user, I own an older model, until now napapakinabangan ko pa rin. I don't have anything against mac or its capabilities. In fact kung pagpipiliin ako, mac pa rin. I also have a PC with an apple logo instead of the usual 'inutil inside'.
dual core G5's w/ liquid cooling would do the trick...Originally Posted by mazdamazda

IMHO, there's nothing wrong with using a Mac for everyday use. Isn't that the point behind the Mac, to do things easier, from the most mundane tasks to the most demanding requirements? Why even bother having entry-level Macs in the market if they're only good for massive, industrial-scale usage?
Sa department namin, mga lima kaming writers, and the most complicated tasks we could subject our iMacs to were word processing, music listening and DVD viewing. But nobody's complaining, because everything's easier on a Mac. A couple of them have already been installed with editing software, which is just fine as well. We also have a Powermac G3, two Powermac G4s, one Powermac G5 and even an old PowerPC running Avid Media Composer. I could say that these Mac workstations are subjected to everyday tasks, but then again, those tasks consist of broadcast-quality video editing, graphics and animation rendering. So big or small, Macs handle it all.
Ang nakikita ko lang advantage ng PC talaga over Mac, function-wise, is on gaming applications.
