I just saw it today. Notice the bottom where the taskbar is, there is a red line. This is a one year old laptop. How could this happen. I bought this in the US so I don't think I can claim warranty. It's the first time it happened to me all my life of owning computers

I don't have that line at the taskbar when I extend my desktop This is awful!!!

    it's a long shot, but
remove the task bar, and see if the line is still there.

    It's still there. I wanna cry [emoji24]

I restarted even in windows startup it's there. Hindi ba pag nasira monitor ng laptop it's as good as trash?!?! My Aunt gave me money to buy this pa naman and I told her I will choose a good model [emoji24]

one year old laptop I am NEVER buying HP ever again. Yung Lenovo ko going 8 yrs old, nakaduct tape na yung monitor pero gumagana pa rin. I am afraid kasi that this will start as a line pero lalaki pa or it is a sign na bibigay na. Weird kasi I rarely close the lid of my laptop naman

I don't know how to change the color of the taskbar. It's still there kahit naka hide taskbar, even during windows startup

Its either monitor or ribbon cable. I remember there was a 3rd party repair guy whondelievered a warranty service on my work laptop. He arrange a meeting in a library in the US. I watched him repair my laptop in 10 minutes. He knew where the locking tabs were.

In your case it is a hardware issue. Your warranty is 3yrs with hp. When you're back in the USA. Just bring the unit to that shopnor claim warranty online.

Hardware problem yan not software. Permanent na yan.

The laptop is still useable with that line, palitan mo nalang pag kumalat yung dead pixels.

Have you tried connecting your laptop to a monitor? If the pink line is still there kahit sa external monitor, it's a GPU problem. If sa screen lang talaga ng laptop mo, then it's an LCD problem.

my old acer had hinge issues. also had screen flickering. i did a diy replacment using OEM parts from ebay.
never had issuea with HP laptops - i've been using different models for over 15years.
yun nga lang madalas external monitor gamit ko.

plug mo muna sa external monitor.

Mahirap pyesa kung frame ang basag altho minsan meron sa Shopee or from salvaged identical model sa shop. Prohibitive ang price to discourage repair parang Apple products, presyong brand new ang repair much practical to buy new.
kahit DIY basta lang tumayo pa yung laptop. Kung meron nga lang pwede gumawa ng hinge. I don't move my laptop often naman

Pwede yung sinabi ni BratPAQ na to remove S mode pero pinahirapan ako kasi I have to create a MS account pa
