The first picture is my sister's, the handle broke off so they epoxied it and flipped the handle around.
The 2nd is a friend's. The handle broke off as well.
There could be hundreds of these lemon Whirlpool refs...
What a whirly Cesspool of crap
Such low quality from a supposedly US brand...

my sister's whirlpool ref broke down twice, first to go was the temp relay of the compressor according to the technician, after 4 years the compressor died... buti nalang warranty pa... sabi nung sa service center samsung na daw kasi yung whirlpool...

Errh... never thought of Whirlpool as upscale. We had a Whirlpool washer... utter piece of cr*p.

our whirlpool washer has been perfectly working for 10 years. our whirlpool ref has also been working great for more or less 5 years. so probably just a bad set for you guys.

i have a whirlpool ref, 2 door side by side, been using it for more than 6 months, no probs naman super lamig pa nga so i set the freezer and ref temp to 1 only.
like this:
only time will tell if there will be problems, cant complain coz it was free hehe

buti pa pala ang korean made na LG, more than 5 years or 6 na ata, kahit isa walang naging problema. natapos na lang ang 5 years warranty eh walang nasira. pero ang matindi white westinghouse namin. matanda pa sakin.. still working. lakas lang mag yelo ang freezer. la pa kasi dati nung auto defrost eh..
I also use the same brand for my android auto medyo mahal compared sa non branded typc to c.
