Yes I have remove a remote control before but what do you apply between the rubber pad and elevated nodules to have it work? because that is usually the problem the contact between the rubber and the nodules will wear in due time just like my playstation controller button.
all i ever did, was to clean them.
but now that you mention it, googling gave several interesting recommendations.
plain soft graphite pencil. rub the tip onto the rubber surface.
adhesive-backed aluminum foil or HVAC aluminum tape cut into buttons, and taped or glued onto the rubber.
good luck.
My TCL smart TV has red tint na sa gilid. I think malapit na bumigay ito. O forgot the year we bought this pero around 5 years old lang estimate ko.
One of the problem with this TV eh hindi sya auto off pag pinatay na yung mi Box S, PS4, or yung chromecast with Google TV. It will just show "no signal" and then will auto shutdown after few minutes. Kahit na naka enable ang auto off sa hdmi settings.
Maybe it isn't compatible with my Samsung soundbar? Since malapit na bumigay si TCL I was wondering if I should buy Samsung smart TV next. I was hoping it will play nice with my soundbar, PS4 and Google TV. I was also wondering kung ma enable yung dolby atmos. The soundbar and Google TV are both dolby atmos capable pero I'm not seeing the dolby atmos sa Netflix, baka yung TCL yung reason.
Mali ba assumption ko na dapat pag patay ko ng PS4 or Google TV eh dapat auto off na din yung TV?

HDMI CEC has to be enabled on both devices for that to work.
Kung enabled naman pareho, it can also be the HDMI cable. I used to have cheap HDMI cables that I bought from Shopee. It works fine as far as display goes pero nung natutunan ko yung HDMI CEC, hindi ko mapagana until pinalitan ko yung kable.

ayaw ko na nang samsung.. yung last samsung namin naka ilang pa repair ako.. pinalitan nang board.. tapos capacitor yata.. then yung last nagkaron na nang map sa screen.. so we decided to replaced it.. we tried RealMe android TV 43" got it online at Abenson on sale for 16K lang yata.. it's still not 4K UHD but ok na for watching news and netflix and youtube stuff... this was August last year..
Come January, i noticed some smudges pag nasa white screen, kala ko nung una dumi lang pero nasa loob sya.. hindi naman kita pag nanonood pero since alam ko na nandon na.. hindi ako mapakali.. and iniisip ko baka lumaki pa yung damage.. so hanggang under warranty pa, eh pa repair ko na for free.. I first emailed realme tv support March yata this year.. tapos ni refer ako sa service center nila.. ang daming hiningi, invoice, picture, video.. and finally end of May na pickup na nila.. wala daw home service kasi pandemic.. they said papalitan ang LED panel under warranty.. took them 3 weeks.. inorder pa daw kasi parts.. so it was finally delivered 3rd week of June.. ibang company din yung nag pi pickup and nag dedeliver.. all good na sana.. nilagay namin yung stand.. nung sasaksak ko na.. whoa.. may parang naka bukol sa lower right corner.. basag yung LCD.. so I called up the delivery service and in 20 minutes he was back.. hindi daw nila alam san nabasag.. he called the service center and they said to pull out the unit..
I called realme support and told them what happened.. sabi it will be investigated.. mukhang sa handling nabasag.. or sa storage nung delivery service.. anyway.. after another 2 weeks.. ayun they decided that they will replace it with a new one.. wew.. finally na deliver na last Saturday..
That's my main target for my next TV, yung reliability at tibay. Next is it should play well with other hdmi device. Our TCL is just 5 years old.
Am I expecting too much sa lifetime ng TV? Nasa 5 years old lang na talaga sya? Hindi sya tulad ng mga CRT dati na at least decade ang tagal? I remember our last CRT TV na JVC, sobra tagal na eh hindi na lang ginamit dahil nag upgrade na sa lcd, hindi talaga sya nasira.
we have devant and TCL dito sa opis.. and sa tingin ko mas maganda yung RealMe in terms of picture quality and speaker and mabilis pati sya.. kahit compared don sa LG nung uncle ko.. malakas yung speaker nang Realme TV.. naka 24W quad steroe with dolby yung RealMe.. and naka smart remote control na sya.. sana lang ginawa na nilang 4K UHD..

We have an LG 42LS5700 (42" FHD) and a Samsung UA40JU6400 (40" 4K) that are 10 years and 6 years old, respectively. Never repaired.
But they are both connected to their respective UPSs.
Usually the cables that come with the devices themselves are OK na. If you're using the default cable from your PS4 or soundbar dapat ok na yon. Nag 3rd party cable lang ako dati kasi maikli yung accessory cable ng Android TV box ko.

Yes. Chromecast with Google TV -> HDMI -> Samsung soundbar -> HDMI Arc soundbar and TV -> TCL TV.
I'm seeing Samsung smart TV and TCL smart TV na Google TV na yung OS. I wonder if eliminating ng chromecast with Google TV dongle would eliminate the problem since fewer devices.
You saw a Samsung smart tv ang os is google tv? I thought tizen lang os ng mga smart tvs nila.

Sorry mixed that up. Sony pala nakita ko. I remember watching review of TCL Google TV and the reviewer said TCL Google TV lags. Then he reviewed a Sony Google TV (pala) and showed the OS is buttery smooth unlike TCL.

That is the reason I stick to Sony android models as it makes things easier to access and install apps like Netflix, YT, etc. With other brands, there is a noticeable lag when accessing different apps.

I have 3 Sony android TVs na. Very smooth nga ang OS/interface nya that's why I still stick with Sony.

And their service center is very professional. I had a broken LCD screen one time and they replaced it in just a few days. Free pull out and delivery. I didnt even have to bring the unit to their shop myself.

sa akin pag CCWGTV, automatic na detect na Atmos yung audio sa Netflix pati sa other streaming videos na may Atmos audio. pag yung sa Netflix app sa Samsung TV, lumalabas lang na 5.1 audio then pag play ko yung movie/series then press back eh saka lang lalabas na Atmos hehe weird.
Hehe...samsung is still tizen OS ba?
