    imho, learn the new interface[emoji3]
Even if you manage to get it working, it's only a matter of time before support ends for Win7... meaning no more patches... meaning you will be more vulnerable to malware and such.

Yup no choice really but to get used to the newest Microsoft hotness. Had Windows 8.x pre-installed in my desktop and repeatedly said no to the free Windows 10 upgrade. About a week later when I woke up, the OS was Windows 10. Not complaining as the 10 interface is much user friendlier than 8, as it turns out.

Downgrading OS on newer system is indeed problematic. Adapting to the new OS is less problematic. Besides, Win 10 interface is kinda similar to Win 7. Win 10 only looks intimidating at first, but one would realize sooner than later that it is not so bad at all.

Tell wifey to start using Win 10. The Start button is still there, and you can configure Win 10 to start in desktop mode much like Win 7.

    Switch to SSD

It's heaven sent for my Windows 10 PC. And I believe the effect is the same with your laptop.

If you have Windows 7 or Windows 8, the free upgrade to Windows 10 is still available from the MS web site. When I switched to SSD drives recently, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 for both desktop PC and laptop. Then, I visited the MS web site to upgrade them to Windows 10.

You did the right thing. Windows 10 is just like an upgraded Windows 7. Wala masyadong adjustment say compared to using Windows 8.

Agree with that. Mas okay Windows 10 kaysa sa 8

May nakapag try na ba bumili ng Windows 10 pro License Keys sa ebay? Any feedback? Naka bili ako sa isang seller sa Germany for 280 pesos converted na. Galing daw sa volume license kaya legit yung key. No issues naman so far sa Windows update.

OT: Grabe tinaas ng SSD ngayon ah, last time I bought one last Oct 2016 nasa 1.8k lang yung Team LZ na 120gb, now almost 3k na siya. Delayed na naman tuloy SSD upgrade ng laptop ko.
