Downgrading OS on newer system is indeed problematic. Adapting to the new OS is less problematic. Besides, Win 10 interface is kinda similar to Win 7. Win 10 only looks intimidating at first, but one would realize sooner than later that it is not so bad at all.

Tell wifey to start using Win 10. The Start button is still there, and you can configure Win 10 to start in desktop mode much like Win 7.

    Switch to SSD

It's heaven sent for my Windows 10 PC. And I believe the effect is the same with your laptop.

If you have Windows 7 or Windows 8, the free upgrade to Windows 10 is still available from the MS web site. When I switched to SSD drives recently, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 for both desktop PC and laptop. Then, I visited the MS web site to upgrade them to Windows 10.

Here's a neat tidbit for everyone para maiwasan mo na mag long cut.

Basta yung Windows 10 mo is activated and properly registered nung mag free upgrade ka and need mo mag reformat, pwede ka nang mag install nang Windows 10 derecho kasi may unique identification sila ng hardware mo.

This is one of the reason why yung full installation ISO is available for download for free sa Microsoft site mismo.

Gagawin mo na lang is to create a bootable USB installation media.

As I said before, the password no longer works after upgrade. Luckily there are a few good options to get it fixed without reinstalling Windows. If you had the same problem with me, you can check it out from here for free.
