Yup, you can upgrade laptops. There are Centrino system kasi na basic or should I say bitin ang setup, unfortunately standard na ito sa stores kasi package na as base system that is why you need to upgrade na lang especially if you are going to use it for your multimedia/graphics needs.

Altis is right, you can try other laptop system na hindi Centrino and Tablet.

Centrino = Intel Board (Chipset) + Intel WLAN + Intel Mobile Processor. Mawala ang isang ingredient dito di na sya Centrino.

There are laptops na hindi Intel based and mas mura sila. Try ECS, PhoenixNotes, etc.
