March 10th, 2011 11:16 PM #6the hotspot is not carrier specific.. it is device specific though .. you can still use it.. but if it doesnt appear on settings,reset network settings. Make sure you have the proper settings in APN. it's also not available on iPad and 3GS Originally Posted by boybi

May 19th, 2011 01:46 PM #12Just spoke with Globe Tech Support. Personal Hotspot also works for iPhone 3GS w/ ios4.3. You just have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it working.
If it's missing from your network settings, you have to make sure that the APN is correctly inputted (internet.globe.com.ph), 3G is on, cellular data is on. Then go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. [This will erase all saved wifi passwords you may have accumulated over the life of your iphone!] After the reboot, you should see the personal hotspot option in Network Settings. However, turning off Cellular Data or changing the APN will once again hide the personal hotspot option.
