wow isa ito sa mga ginawa kong thread nung oct 2002 (birth of tsikot.com) hanggang ngayon buhay pa rin.
(im not an expert, enthusiast lang pero try ko sagutin ang mga tanong mo cardo

Balak ko sana magsetup ng Home Theater yun simple at mid level lang.

pare anong budget mo?

My wife and I auditioned yun Showroom ng boston sa megamall and they have this Digital Theater 7000 for more or less 50k.

pare i started that way, i bought a HTIB (home theater in a Box) it's ok for a small room (pansin mo maliit ang auditioneing room nila)and ok for starters, pero in the long run hindi ka makaka pag upgrade like ngayon 6.1 discreet/matrix na. also check mo kung may DTS yan,kasi you'll be missing a lot. more on that later

Ok na ba to? or is there something better out there for the same amount?

with all honesty...there ARE better out there for 3/4 of that price.

ano dapat hanapin ko sa DVD player?

so far wala akong naging problema sa pioneer DVD player ko, lahat kayang i play except laserdisc he..he

How much should I allot for the DVD player?

mura nalang DVD player siguro 9K or less for pioneer

which is better Harman Kardon or yun Yamaha?

there's nothing better but preferrence lang, more on HT ang yamaha so medyo bright sounding, Harman naman soft, relax good for music, onkyo is a mixed of the two, so better audition

Also, kung pang DVD lang di ko na kelangan ng amps ano? yun receiver na ba bahala sa pag amplify ng speakers?

pare receivers are amplifiers with tuners
so basically receiver lang ang kailangan mo

Also, anong magandang TV for 90k max?

pare ang sarap m0 namang mag budget ng TV.
siyempre gusto ko widescreen 16:9 and also i have the liking to the brand Toshiba, kasi very true ang colors unlike sony puro exxage ang mga kulay (im using sony btw)

siguro marami ka pang sobra for dvds niyan.

pero im not limiting you with those brands ang daming pagpipilian, for speakers may wharfdales, missions, tannoys, b&w etc. for receivers , onkyo, denon, yamaha, harman, rotel, nad, sobrang dami bro.
