does the DVD player also acts as a receiver? pwde ko rin ba i-connect mini-component, vhs, tv, etc. dito?

I have exactly the same one in my living room which is enough to a 12x20' room size. Medyo bitin sa bass. The player and receiver in one. the only thing i don't like about this is so much time to eject and load the discs, lag time to read MP3's. I suggest not to connect the vhs anymore para hindi ma-overuse and eventualty overheat the receiver. Although extra component video outlet is available. I use it on daily TV watching and my daughter's dvd movies.The price you mentioned is comparable here which I bought for $450. But the picture quality is excellent on DVD movies.
