you did it wrong. you went to the recovery console that's why the administrator's password is being asked. redo it again and press enter to install windows. In the next page, it will search for a previous installation and in should find c:\windows. if it thus install in that location. that means it will recover your original windows. if it did not find your previous installation. press escape and exit because if you continue it will install a new one and overwrite your documents folder.
