    Hello,

I need your help once again. Our desktop PC's OS got corrupted lately. I can't get it to run. The "Desktop Screen" doesn't appear no more and it says there is a missing system file. Now I am planning to format the drive where the OS is installed and install a Linux instead.

The problem is, I can't format the thing! And everytime I try to install the Linux, it only runs on CD.

Most likely iyong ginagamit mong CD ay nakacustomize such that pang boot lang sya ng computer pag may problema pero hindi ka pwede maginstall.

Gawin mo, kuha ka ng iba pang installer and make sure hindi sya custom build na pang boot lang para may option ka na iinstall sya.

Pag nakakuha ka na let us know kung ano magiging problema mo.

    Of course pwede.

Ang fundamentals noon ay you need to partition your disks.

    my suggestion prior to formatting:

    a) delete the partition first. use GPartED or Partition Magic.
    b) re-create the partition.
    c) format the created partitions.
    d) install windows XP
    e) install linux on the free partition.

    dual-boot na yan.
