Stuck power ON remote control button ... or loose power plug ... check the connection at the back of the TV ... gets loose over time ...

on/off of remote is not working anymore. I checked the button at the back and it is okay.

If I "sleep" the TV, it will turn off a few seconds and then open again but with the ambon ambon/black and white grains screen. I have to program the channels again So I have to pull the plug to turn it off and then reprogram the channels every time I turn on.

Our 6-yr-old 40" Skyworth and 4-yr-old 38" Devant are still doing ok. The buttons on the TVs are not reliable anymore but the remotes still work ok even after quite a few drops over the years. The Skyworth is particularly abused because it's the dedicated Playstation TV but we haven't had any problems with it so far.

    20 years na yata.

But yeah, I'll swear by Sony.

    So far so good.

Yung 90s Trinitron namin buhay pa, namatay na lahat ng TV sa buhay, siya buhay pa. We brought it to the province kasi malakas daw sa kuryente CRT.

Pero yung ex ko, sinusumpa na mga newer model ng Sony

the difficult part is opening it up.

It is not the remote because if I power it on and off using the button at the TV. If I turn it off, it turns on by itself after a few seconds. Also, after mag on, wala na sa program yung channel (black and white grains na lang nakikita ko) I have to pull the plug para mag off.
