i don't think we have to wait long til we see some Mario Kart elements in this -- e.g. smoke screen, bombs...or maybe infuse some elements from Robot wars(e.g. spikes, flamethrowers) so we'll have a drone version of the Ben-Hur chariot race :D
Hopefully though this will stay in sanctioned events. Just imagine "drone drag races" in the city

and the quadcopters themselves aren't streamlined yet. I think they'll be much faster in the near future.
