My personal PC is still a desktop. Not much into overclocking nowadays so I chose the i7-6700 over its "K" variant.

For office PCs, we've deployed Pentium G4400s on Gigabyte m-ITX and MSI m-atx to replace the old ones while taking advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10. The m-ITX boards were installed on Corsair QBX cases while the m-ATXs were housed on Viewpaker AiOs. Threw in some Samsung 850 Evo 120gb and Intel 540 120gb for the finance and accounting departments as well.

A couple of i3 4170 desktops are being used as experimental platforms for Sophos XG Home Edition and Mikrotik's RouterOS.

the impressive claim here is that vega is capable of optimizing itself at the hardware level rather than through regular software updates which makes sense since DX12 works are low level API.

at the very least, it's already equal or above the GTX 1080 based on the Doom demo. now, if they price it smartly before the launch of GTX 1080Ti...

I really want AMD to succeed. Intel is slacking too hard.

walang enemy enemy dyan. it's all just business

even w/ Zen amd knows that they cannot beat intel in marketshare and mindshare (not yet at least) so the smart thing to do is to make some money now

Consumers will win of course. Ive never seen a strong igp. Hopefully this combo will bring strong ultraportables.

well, it makes sense that Intel would approach AMD for their iGPUs since their nVidia GPU patent licenses are about to expire.

and besides, Intel approached AMD during the development of Mantle(Which is now in the form of DX12).

and nVidia is just too plain greedy

    the hypetrain has no brakes!

AMD Ryzen Benchmarks Leaked - Amazing Multi-core and Single-core Performance | techPowerUp

though it's from WCCFTech, the passmark numbers per se are verified... if they turn out to be true then Jim Keller magic is real! This would be the first time in a long while that AMD slightly edges out in clock for clock performance against a similar core count intel equivalent chip(definitely not price equivalent! $389 vs $999).

of the problems people are getting worried about is that supply won't be able to keep up with the demand. kinda like when they launched the R9 290X when all those bitcount miners bought all of 'em.
