    Yes. Many times on different models. Makes a gigantic difference in performance. Use arconis diskimage tools to clone your hard drive. There are many youtube videos that teach how to do it.

    SSDs are a godsend. Never going back to a physical hard drive for my boot drive.

    Same observation here - an SSD upgrade will bring the most tangible improvement in performance. The computer will feel faster than if you got a new CPU or more RAM.

    My 8 year old Core 2 Quad PC (SSD) feels much snappier than my newer Core i5 laptop (hard drive) even if the latter has a CPU that's exponentially faster.
