OT : im using smartbro at the moment in one of the mountains in taytay , we don't have pldt dsl here, but so far so good im getting a good connection everytime Im online.

download speed is 41-50kbps using limewire and good or bad weather I tried it and I never had problems.

Right they used canopy for receiving the signal from the cell site, the tech told me that they actually upgraded it since before daw when it was smart wifi the range was only 3km(not sure) but when smart planned to expand their wireless internet service they changed to canopy which is twice the range of the old receiver, and he also told me that if smart upgrades it's service again the speed should be faster instead of the promised up to 384kbps or 394kbps speed, im optimistic that about a year or two they will upgrade their wireless service and if it happens I will be a happy camper.

I tried different bandwidth test, and it's not reliable lowest was 190kbps highest was 690kbps which I doubt?

actually im playing americas army and im not having any issues with the speed and as of now no lags.

I hope it continues that way.

I did that with my SmartBRO. I sent PLDT/Smart a letter stating my discontentment of their service and I want the service to be disconnected. Wala sila nagawa. Di nila ako siningil ng fee.

suggestion lang po. doon sa mga napuputol yung connection using a wired connection. better get a connection that uses a fix ip address rather than an ip supplied by dhcp. sa mga walang know how sa ip, just tell your isp that you need a static ip and not the dynamic.

i noticed this using zpdee (skycable). me connection naman pero walang ip address na binibigay yung modem sa laptop. so i kept on renewing the ip address and finally i got one. ang ginawa ko kinopya ko yung ip na na assign sa laptop ko then enter it sa network properties ng win xp as static ip (including subnet mask, default gateway, wins, dns). yun, never na nag down yung connection. hindi na sya intermittent.

i can discuss to u more in detail if you like.

OT: Same here, I am using SmartBro and so far no problem, whether rain or shine.

PLDT MyDSL, which we attempted to be installed twice earlier was a disaster.
