ok ba mga chinese electronic products like Changchong, TCL? I'm abroad, and I'm hoping to buy some products when I come back to the phils. since I have free shipping. I'm looking at stuff like big screen plasma TV's since they are cheap here. Hope you could give your feedback. thanks!!

Remember they might support VCDs, but they often aren't guaranteed to (DVD player nga naman eh).

    Sorry medyo OT.

ok naman ang ibang mga brand sa China, pero sayang kasi ang pera eh, kung mag iinvest ka rin lang don ka na sa well branded, consider mo ang durability, performance, the engine nang appliance, you have to consider the whole of the product that you are planning to buy. Ika nga MURA NGA PANIS NAMAN!

hindi naman ibig sabihin pag china made bulok na... altho they aren't in the league of top brands its pretty good and at a fraction of the price. And the quality is improving, think Japan a few decades ago, nung una "bulok" ang image niya ngayon they are one of the top electronic producing countries in the world. 1st world countries are even opening up factories in China, think about it.

Just be aware that there are trade offs the lower sticker prices that Chinese products tout. Expect product durability, quality, and performance to be below that of the standards set by the Japanese and Koreans (in flat panel TVs, dont know the rest). Since you mentioned Plasma TV, I suggest you get a Japanese or at least a Korean branded and manufactured one, instead of the Chinese varieties. The price differences (bet Jap and Kor brands) are not so big as to warrant the disadvantages of getting the Chinese.

ot: bakit pag branded ba binili nyo sigurado kayo na hindi made in china??? outsourcing, hello! kaya nga 850 billion $$$ ang forex reserve ng china kasi dami ng mga products sa china ginagawa e. para din made in japan yan dati, nung 1970's pag sinabi mong made in japan gamit mo tatawanan ka ng tao, "ay cheap, gawa ng japon madali masira kasi hindi made in US, germany, ek-ek..." tapos ngayon ano hinahanap ng tao, made in japan. pero tignan mo yung sony na binili mo made in malaysia, philippines, vietnam.....china.

Sensitive ang plasma technology (not to mention, expensive), might as well buy from branded companies who have good reputation as experts in plasma TVs.

Ang TCL ata eh made in the Philippines, if I'm not mistaken.

Ang ibig yata nilang sabihin na branded eh yung "brand name" mismo. Not exactly kung saan manufactured. Pag sinabing branded meaning "kilala" yung brand, as in merong good reputation.

OT lang: I thought about that as well, especially with electronics, the "Made in China" moniker is being shunned upon.

I find it amusing that people don't hesitate dropping 30-40K on a HTC phone but complain about getting a China Nokia unit :P

Most TVs around the world are made in Mexico btw...

I use a china made DVD player, Tru-Tech ang brand name and I'm very much contented. Yung mga toys ng mga anak ko na VTech laptops, made in china, matibay naman.

AFAIK, china don't have a LCD or Plasma manufacturing plants, bumibili lang sila ng module sa taiwan, korea and japan and they assembled to finish product.....

justlike our company dito maumpisa ang lahat from glass to LCD module then ship it to china for assembly of metal housing and other heavy stuff
