not sure about samsung, motorola & sony ericsson,.. but my choice is simple but clearer, kinda-sharper Nokia 3230 (1.3MP),.. kayang kaya ng budget yan, less P12k na lang siguro 'to!

i would think its the sony-ericsson cellphones, for the sole reason that sony has a very good digicam division. now if nokia would team up with canon.. :D

K750i. Last I heard, going rate was 13k pesos. It's a 2mp cameraphone with 3gp, MP3 and MP4 capabilities... but iPOD MP4s are too high bandwidth for the phone. Pictures are crisp, video length is only limited by memory stick size (I'm using a 1GB duo... 3k lang! ). and you can download Opera Mini to browse tsikot with.
Hey, I'm using it to post right now.

Only problems, hangs when you do many things at once (but not catastrophically like some phones, i.e.: you won't lose your phonebook at each hang), low light performance is so-so, with quite a bit of noise (the new N70 is clearer), and the autofocus makes picture taking slow in the dark. The built in flash/flashlight partially makes up for this, and is very handy during brownouts.

I just bought a k750I yesterday, for 12.3K only, it has a 2mp cameraphone, mp3, and fm capability. it also comes with a 64MB memory stick. what i can say is sulit, and check the reviews in cnet asia, the K750I always ranks in the top 5 even with the new phones around.

pahabol: We frame the pictures of our baby that are taken with this phone... they're good enough for 5x7s, but are too pixelated for larger prints.

alwayz_yummy you can also go to www.gsmarena.com to compare all the phones that you specified, like pixels, memory space etc.. hope the site helps.

iba parin kasi ung talagang may gamit,e...been na din sa site before hand..at kung secondhand, gusto ko kumpleto at mga di pa bukas, max of 3 months used...

di lang kasi ung magapix ung basis ko,e...ung type din kasi ng cam din,..alam ko most nokia uses cmos, newer samsungs/SE uses vga...may 6630 na kasi me, ok naman, pero gamit na ng esmi ko at may pagkakataong naghahang: at minsan dahil sa hang na un, naubos 300 load ko in 1 day, kakasend ng message sa outbox na "not sent this time"...

i prefer lang din kasi more on functionality and storage..and as a back-up cam din...kaya phone w/ sd/mmc mas prefer ko..bluetooth and w/ or w/o IR is a plus factor..plus kung di nokia, ung di nalalayo sa layout ng nokia...(nokia person kasi kami ng asawa ko,e..)

K750i, for sure...
Layout of controls isn't as familiar as Nokia, but after 2 weeks, masasanay ka na. Ok din ang shortcut keys niya. Mine is secondhand, and it's okay so far.

check out the SE k600 or k608.. 1.3 megapixel cam, 32mb memory (not expandable), Ir, Bluetooth plus 3G capable na sya.. around 9.5k

OT: ingat lang kayo sa pagbili ng memory stick.. madami na lumalabas na fake nyan.. buy na lang kayo sa reputable shops..

having used both the K750i and the N90... the N90 beats the crap out of it. the N90 has the smoothest, most fluid viewfinder i've EVER seen on a cam-phone. it's comparable or better than the viewfinder of the Canon SD500 which is not a cheap camera. and larger..

in my experience, the samsung D500 (1.3MP), nokia 6680 (1.3MP) have over-rated cameras. in fact other than the N90, i never met a cam-phone which i liked. too bad the N90 wasn't mine...

    ngek.. 12k or less pala.

i would go for the K600/K608i solely because merong 3G siya. 3G is teh win!

i am surprised at phones like the D500/D600 and K750i.. ang high-tech pera wala namang 3G. wifey has a D500 from back nung 25k pa siya... the camera is quite a disappointment, kahit 1.3MP

yung mga entry-level phones with 0.3MP cameras like my 6020.. the camera is crap. mas maganda pa yung 0.3MP din na camera ng Palm Zire 71, which is a 3-year-old PDA.

the difference here is in the camera.. the n90 uses the Carl Zeiss optics.. this optics are the one being used on high-end cameras, microscopes and other imaging instruments..

K750i user din...3 stones ito in one bird...errr baligtad

    its a phone
its a capable camera, look at my sig sample yan ng k750i
    and its a MP3

upgraded my mem stick to 256, pwede na it holds 70 songs may shuffle and equalizer, pwede din sa aux ng HU mo,

about the 3G sabi ng friend ko sa umpisa lang, ngayon text text pa rin, sabi baka soon may mas mabilis pa sa 3G (medyo delayed and pixalated ang video)
its better to skip now for the future enhancement...

Contrary to popular belief lens quality has very little to do with picture quality on point and shoot cameras, much less cameraphones.

wala yan sa "carl zeiss optics."

a lot of sony digicams and camcorders also use "carl zeiss optics."
kodak and samsung digicams use "schneider bad kreuznach" lenses.
panasonic digicams and camcorders use leica lenses.

in all cases they are just rebadge jobs. samsung also rebadges entry-level pentax gear as "schneider."

carl zeiss lenses for the contax cameras are made by kyocera (!) that's kyoto ceramic. the only "real" carl zeiss lenses (as in, made in Germany) are for the hasselblad and rollei medium-format cameras.

besides in the end, whether it's carl zeiss or canon or whatever.. the japanese and germans can produce equally good optics.
