I remember there was a code dialled wherein calls/text can be prevented nor send. what are those codes again. I remember having tested it to both Globe and Smart.

As mazdamazda said, you can find it in your phone's menu, under the Security settings (for Nokia models).

It has the option to block voice calls, SMS and asynchronous data services. I'm pretty sure that it works for SMS, because I once tried sending a text message to myself with the barring activated for incoming calls, and failed to receive any.

Perhaps you can execute it but still it depends on your Network provider if they allows you to do it. ;)

by barring your incoming and outgoing calls, it will also bar your incoming and outgoing text. it works the same. now if you want to bar only your outgoing text, this is what you do. now it depends on the unit you have. there are some phones that have an option to send sms thru "GSM" or "GPRS", if you chose GPRS, you won't be allowed to send text at all, but your outgoing call wont be affected.

Tried it just now, and it doesn't work. "Password error" lang nakukuha ko. Baka sobrang hi-tech ng phone ko kaya ganun.

Bar all outgoing calls * 33 * Barring Code # SEND
to cancel the barring of outgoing calls # 33 * Barring Code # SEND

Bar all incoming calls * 35 * Barring Code # SEND
to cancel the barring of incoming calls # 35 * Barring Code # SEND

Bar all outgoing international calls * 331 * Barring Code # SEND
to cancel the barring of outgoing int'l calls # 331 * Barring Code # SEND

all of these codes are generic codes. it depends on your unit model and brand

    Ayun, gumana na.

Tama si Bluebimmer, it's too complicated to memorize the different codes. Mas madali yung i-access mo na lang via the phone menu, at least all you'll have to key in is the 4-digit barring code itself.
