College pa ako nung last time bumili kami at talagang nagdadala kami ng kasama na marunong tumingin if Bnew, nasa tamang specs atcompatible nga partas. Haba ng pila noon, ewan na lang ngayon, madami na rin sila branches eh.

If you want to make the most out of your budget:
    1) Find a techie friend and let him/her help you pick out the components from the item/price list of your selected store (e.g. PC Express, PC Hub, etc.)
    2) Once you've picked out your components, call up the said store and make sure they've got the parts you want. If may kulang, choose alternative parts.
    3) Once you've confirmed that all parts are available, that's when you go out to the store to make your purchase.
    4) If your techie friend is capable of assembling the PC, then I highly recommend ask him/her to assemble it for you.

If you cannot find a friend to help you or you're in a hurry, then I strongly recommend you get one of the pre-packaged PC's like the one _Qwerty_ recommended -- Qube - Online. Bear in mind that you will still be able to get a more powerful machine for the same price. Pero less hassle.

    EDIT: Pahabol
You mentioned that you also plan to do some gaming... what particular game did you have in mind?
The type of game will influence the type of video card you'll need which will in turn have a big influence on your budget.
