Bro, my globe plan is 7mb as well (~P2k/month) but I always experience intermittent disconnection that I had to reboot and resync from time to time. Technicians would always blame the condo cabinet or other people messing up the connections (probably other providers). How stable is yours?

I'm on Globe 3mbps and the connection has been pretty stable after the last typhoon. It went down once a few months ago but service was restored after a few hours and I got a small rebate because I reported it. I'm not in a condo though and the box my line is connected to is right across the house.

Globe 5 mbps..... ok naman, usually get around 2-3 mbps of download speed as the primary home connection.
PLDT 1 mbps as the secondary home connection..... ok lang din.... getting around 600 kbps....

naka load balancer and may threshold per IP ang setup namin sa house. my son gets 75% of it dahil sa online gaming nya.

Grrrrrr. Walang kwenta pala itong SurfMax ng Smart.

I'm in between changing my internet service provider after pina-cut na yung pldt dsl namin prior to moving house.

So I'm trying muna itong mga mobile internet using pocket wifi. As a trial, nag-subscribe ako sa SurfMax 85, which is unli internet for 2 days up to 800MB/day then throttled na daw after that. I registered at 5:03AM ng June 03, so I expected na the 1 day will be until 5:03 of the next day. By 2:48AM of June 4 though, I have exhausted na raw yung 800MB allocation ko. So when I used the net around 8am I expected na-reset na ulit yung allocation period, but my surfing is crawling at a glacial pace. Then dun sa notification, read ko raw yung SurfMax guideline, and it says there babalik lang normal speed after 12MN. WTF. So meaning even after 5:03am hanggang mag-hatinggabi, a total of almost 19hrs, eh basically useless yung plan sa sobrang bagal, then normal na lang ulit siya ng 12:01mn hanggang 5:03am after which it expires na.

So it seems to make full use of the plan, you need to register at between 12:01 to 1am. Otherwise, a lot of wasted hours in between. Sayang since for general surfing and a few you tube videos here and there mabilis na rin siya. I tested using my phone as a hotspot for now and I'm getting the following:

As I'm still shopping for a regular internet provider, I can only choose the SurfMax and GigaSurf plans of Smart having already bought a SmartBro Prepaid SIM. GigaSurf though is GB based, and even the 4GB of GigaSurf 799 I think won't last me the 30 days period of the plan.

By experience bro mas matindi talaga mag throttle ang smart sa prepaid and ang pinaka less hassle sa offering nila is Gigasurf.

But when you get their postpaid broadband plan iba na usapan.

In fairness to Smart Prepaid, I tested it last night with Speednet and I'm getting 24Mbps/20Mbps when not throttled if I remember right. Will test it again tonight. Kaya lang, since mabilis nga you're tempted to use HD when watching YouTube, which burns your 800MB allocation so much faster also. I surf around 10pm-2am lang naman, so I guess the 800MB can tide me over till I settle on a DSL plan. Just need to time my registration na lang siguro ng after midnight.

Yang 800 MB allocation kung HD pinanood mo sa YouTube wala pang 1 hour ubos na yan

Avail the flexitime promo for streaming or video on demand, video contents are high data volume

I just tested again tonight after having re-registered with SurfMax 200 (unli at full speed up to 800MB for 5 days).

Could have been good even for heavy use if not capped at such a low limit.

^again those promos your registering into (data capped) isnt suitable for high volume data you do in your internet connection

Go for time limited promos like FLEXITIME for video streaming & videos on demand

^most likely its possible to combine promos, but then again try to expetiment first

Gigasurf is good for 3days anyway, so register to anything less than 3 days for the flexitime

Every one in a while, I check to see if I'm getting what I paid for. Nowadays, 50 Mbps here is middle of the pack or lower tier. I don't game online nor do I upload huge amounts of files. I guess, I get what I paid for plus a tiny bit more. I usually check both Speedtest and actual download speeds.

50 Mbps is 6.25 MB/s. I got 6.5 MB/s or better. So far so good.

If inooffer sir yung Converge ICT Fiber sa inyo. I suggest try mo yun, 1.5k, 20mbps Fiber na. Independent pa yung Download and Upload mo. Mas mura pa sa globe hehe.

Di ko lang sure if effective sya sa mga areas outside pampanga.

Pero sa akin kasi yung 100mbps plan, consistent naman na nakukuha ko is 80-90~ upload and download speed.

With regards to stability, so far stable naman sya. Wala pang major downtime since last year na nag upgrade kami.

No data cap din, which is nice.

The only downside so far na nakikita ko is hindi pa malaki yung coverage nila. Halos region 3 palang ata yung covered nila.
