November 28th, 2006 02:09 PM #25unknown brand DVD players are selling at P1600 to P1800 at SM Pasig (besides Tiendesita).
Buying a 30 to 40 inch plasma or lcd TV is still too expensive (although cheaper than a year ago) if you are simply after the high-tech feel. Not to mention, regular cable TV signals look like crap on those screens. I'm getting good milage from my 30 inch regular TV connected to my PC to playback DIVX videos I download from the internet. BattleStar Galactica & Heroes look well, even on my regular tv screen.

November 28th, 2006 02:52 PM #29for now, pinakasulit kumuha ng 32" samsung slimfit tv, for 59k this tv is jam packed with technology, hdtv ready and high resolution input up to 1080i, HDMI, PiP. watching PC divx movies in 1080i or 720p mode is just breathtaking, leaps and bounds from the normal resolution tvs. perhaps next year lcdtvs and plasma tvs would be worth it.

Sa PC get a HDCP compliant Blu-Ray Drive plus a HDCP compliant video card plus a HDCP compliant Monitor plus Windows Vista 64-bit version which could be the Windows Vista Ultimate....
lalagyan kasi ng copy protection as far as I know....
