    3 yrs na epson t10. converted to CIS sya. if di ko na sya ma reset, i plan to buy the L100. konti lang difference kaysa mag pa convert ka ng new entry level printer to CIS.

    GH, how long na L100/L110 nyo? durable ba sya? office use ba yan o pang bahay lang?

    The EPSON L100 was better in that it only needed its ink refilled and that's it. Once in a rare while, I might need to do a cleaning cycle but it's still a far cry from what I was doing with the Canon. Since the L100 was slow and we needed color prints quickly, I bought another unit, an EPSON L110 which was it's newer model and a bit faster too.

    It is office use. If you are buying a new unit, get the L110 because it is faster.

    So far yung L100 namin nasira yung feeder mechanism niya but since it was during it's warranty period, I had it repaired (free at the service center).

    The L100 we had it a year na. The L110 is around 4 months.

    Been user of monochrome laser printer Samsung ML1610, 1860, HP LJ1160,p1102 at home. Kung personal use lang at the budget of 5k, ok na Samsung mas mataas specs compared to similar model sa HP. So far no problem,except that i noticed mabagal yung HP siguro dahil maliit ang RAM. Advantage of HP over Samsung is it has feeder tray that you dont have to open the main tray.

    Kung medyo mataas budget, OK din ang brother. For the price, sakto ang specs nya like yung mga flatbed 3-in-1 nila, built-in Ethernet and Wifi for network printing. Last time i checked, around 9k yung color 3-in-1 flatbed scanner and ethernet.

    Please recommend a specific laser printer model? I really do not want to go beyond the 3k level.

    Basic printing lang naman talaga ako.

    to those who own a brother printer;

    is it true regarding what I read over the net that it is recommended for brother printers to be always plugged-in and always on (even if not used) and not turned off because it automatically goes into a programmed cleaning cycle on its own to prevent nozzle clogging? can anyone verify this?

    it is kind of weird for printers to be always on even if not used but it also says that it goes into some sort of stand-by mode so it does not consume a lot of electricity.

    Our inkjet printers are turned off using their power buttons so they can cycle down and cap-off their print-heads before power is turned off.

    my last printer at home was HP Deskjet that was 13 years ago parallel port pa gamit nun. At office, HP laserjet 5200 and Canon inkjet MP280 okay naman hindi kinakain ang papel unlike other printers na nagamit ko before.

    Sa HP parin ako. Easy to use, functional, lasts long!

    I had an Epson in between, yung BCMYK yung ink, mas sakit sa ulo dahil pag nawala ang isang kulay ayaw na magprint. Laging kumakain ng papel, bagal magprint, mahal pa ng ink (two sets of original ink could buy you a new printer). Ok siya iconvert to CIS, pero somehow di ko talaga gusto quality. Ilang beses kami finail ng printer na to. :D
