TL;DR,
Avoid using the printer's head-cleaning feature, especially Epson's Power Cleaning, as it wastes a lot of ink and reduces the service life of the ink waste pads. Instead, print out customized purge sheets so you can target only the color or printhead that needs cleaning. This also means, you're printing on paper and not spitting out the ink onto the ink waste pad.
You can find tons of purge files on the internet or you can even make them yourself using just MS Word (the video will show you how). However, be sure to use a purge sheet that matches the number of colors your printer can print. The L3150 has 3 colors + black (CMYK). Other printers may have different shades of the same color (5 colors + black).
